I replaced my old 17" CRT monitor with this one. I was in the market for a 17" LCD but couldn't pass this one up for the slight price difference. It is worth an extra $40-$50 or so for this one over a 17".

I find the quality of it very good. The screen is very bright. In fact I have it turned down to 38 right now with daylight coming through my window. I think the default is somewhere around 90. I don't have any dead pixels that I am aware of and fonts look crisp and clear.

I think the screen looks very nice, is priced right, and is of good quality. It is a basic monitor without DVI ports and rotating screen etc. But if you're looking for a monitor to be just a monitor I don't think you could go wrong.

Pros: Reasonably priced, considering I paid absolutely nothing for it.
Cons: A trifle dusty, and a little bright.

I found one in the dumpster, and hooked it up. Works just fine, the resolution seems a bit limited, but I'll tinker with my settings and see what happens.

Pros: Sharp, Bright good dynamic range
Cons: slight smearing of fast moving objects.

Just bought one of these from my local Staples. Paid $289.00 after they price matched it to available online prices.

So far I can honestly say the quality is excellent. No dead or stuck pixels. Fonts are very sharp on screen with cleartype enabled.

It does suffer somewhat with smearing of the display when objects are moving quickly across the screen, but it is certainly not so bad as to make gaming a bad experience.
