May not help find the way, but keeps you from getting lost

Pros: Inexpensive and self contained
Cons: Several design flaws, no street maps

Good for certain purposes

Pros: Rugged, waterproof, many nav screens
Cons: Quite bulky, poor documentation, interface not very friendly
This was my first GPS unit that I purchased about a year ago for a decent deal. My intention was to use it for road trips -- bad idea; no street maps.
This unit was definitely intended for the hiker/boater.
