  • Poorest of the poor service award.

    Nov 19 '07
Pros: Good price on a refurbished unit.
Cons: They didn't refurbish the unit; it was broken when I bought it.

Summary: I bought a refurbished 3000t in the middle of September and now its Thanksgiving and I'm still waiting to use it! The company had done no refurbishing of this unit! It had multiple issues, so I sent it back to the company for a repair. If you buy ... read more

  • Excellent GPS unit

    Oct 06 '07
Pros: Excellent voice commands, good screen
Cons: No soft case supplied but a nintendo game case i got at Walmart works perfectly

Summary: I have had this Magellan 3000T refurbished GPS now for 2 weeks. Took my first long trip with it a few days ago. I went from Buffalo NY area to Algonquin Park up in Canada a 5-hour trip. I also had my laptop which I have Delormes Streets Atlas 2008 with ... read more

  • Cheap and Efficient

    Jun 05 '07
Pros: Cheap, works well, and has accurate maps. Works right out of the box
Cons: Button placement/size/sensitivity. POI database a little out of date

Summary: Just picked this unit up from Costco two days ago, and I've been testing it everywhere I go. I have to confess that I bought it with some trepidation, as I am in Canada, and I was concerned that the unit would ship with out of date, or worse, ... read more

  • Simple GPS, good value

    Sep 16 '06
Pros: It's the same lady from Hertz; roughly works the same way.
Cons: Buttons poorly labeled; too quiet for loud cars

Summary: Ive always been too cheap to fork out the money for a GPS system for my car even though I always get one when I rent a Hertz car. I have a GPS attachment for my Dell Axim handheld PC but downloading the maps and getting all the wires set up in the car ... read more

  • expensive piece of junk

    Mar 01 '08
Pros: convenient to buy at Costco
Cons: doesn't last, poor customer service

Summary: After many months of debate as to whether I should spend the money on a GPS unit I finally bought one in December 2006. I had trouble from day one powering up the unit with the switch. It also would power up on its own while the car was parked overnight

  • Piece of Trash

    Nov 30 '07
    Pros: None
    Cons: Magellan cons customers

Summary: Unit locks up, No Customer Service, Repair department does not care, Magellan doesn't care. After the unit stopped working, sent it in for repair, waited 3 months just to have Magellan try to blame USPS for not delivering it. I faxed the confirmation

  • Magellan RoadMate 3000T After Update

    Nov 23 '07
Pros: The unit is easy to use and the instructions are very clear
Cons: The updates are free, but is it worth the aggravation

Summary: After updating Magellan RoadMate 3000t, the unit stopped doing recalculating or saying anything once a wrong turn is made. The route must be cancelled and you must return to previous destination before the unit restart giving information. I did

  • Great GPS

    Oct 03 '07
    Pros: Very accurate
Cons: Buttons a little sensitive but not a real hassle

Summary: Recently, I bought a refurbished Magellan 3000T GPS.I was a little skeptical about it since I read mix opinions about it. The GPS came in perfect condition out of the box. There was no difference versus a new one, and it comes with an AC charger as

  • Magellan 3000T Warning: locks up

    Jul 06 '07
    Pros: looks good
Cons: sluggish, does not work properly. Bulky construction.

Summary: I purchased my Magellan 3000T on November of 2006. Since then I have had nothing but problems with unit. As I am writing this review it is on its way to be repaired for the third time for the same problem. It locks up and is very sluggish. When I call

  • Has its downside

    May 18 '07
    Pros: Gets you there
Cons: Buttons on perimeter of unit are too touchy. Doesn't recalculate route well.

Summary: I purchased this model from Sears and got a good price on it. I was going to go with Garmin (which my friend has). It works okay as far as getting you to your destination but if you deviate from the route it has planned for you it keeps telling you to
