Pros: Very spacious interior
Cons: Heavier than advertisedDetails aren't done quite right
The Marmot Aura 2P is a pretty nice tent, but be aware that the way weight is listed by Marmot can be misleading. The 4 pound 7 oz weight that they call "maximum weight is what others call "minimum weight": just the tarp, fly, and poles, not the whole kit with bags and stakes and stuff--with all of it, it's more than 5 lbs.
The space inside is really good for a two-person tent, both length and width, because the pole design makes the walls vertical.
There are little things they didn't quite do right: some pole parts are grey and some are red. The places they fit are also red and grey.
You'd hope you could figure out which pole goes where by matching red and grey, but no, it doesn't work that way, and so you have to read the instructions to figure out which goes where. The pockets inside where you stash your flashlight and glasses allow stuff to fall out and aren't conveniently located. Little stuff, but for $300, you'd hope they'd get it right.
