Mode Four Modern Rockers Take Note!

by dracinaracing , Jan 16 '04
Pros: Mesa Boogie Rectifier with more color! Emulated Line Output (Direct sounds great!)
Cons: 350 Watts can cause hearing loss.
I went out to purchase the Mesa Boogie 150watt Triple Rectifier for it's modern rock distortion. After testing the clean tone I found that it lacks a lot and that I would also have to resort to the Fender Twin Reverb for clean tones. Buying these two ...

Marshall Mode 4 - Flexible and Very Powerful!

by vanwarp Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 01 '03
Pros: Simply the most powerful bad ass guitar amplifier head on the market right now!
Cons: What did you say? Speak louder please? Don’t abuse volume levels or deafness will result.
Are you looking to find everything in one package? Something so versatile that you will not need to add anything else to your rig. Something to practice with, to record with, to jam with friends, for band rehearsals and to gig with? Are you looking t ...

Marshall Mode Four - A solid value...

by solarswine , Sep 01 '04
Pros: Headroom/power. Very usable clean channel. Smooth, articulate, and punchy OD1 channel.
Cons: Price. all 4 ch should have independent gain. "woof" overtones OD1 and OD2 when palmmuting.
I bought the Marshall Mode Four head because it does many things well. It does not have the singing, harmonic overtones of a Dual Rectifier, but instead has its own distinct, pleasing tone (I'm talking about the OD1 channel here). I'm playing it ...

New Breed of Marshall

by mikeyjake , Jan 09 '05
Pros: Balls, more modern than Marshall sound
Cons: Won't get you "classic" Marshall tones, but maybe you don't want 'em
This is the new breed of Marshall. Less "classic", but more "balls", aiming for the Boogie Rectifier market. This amp isn't perfect, but I think Marshall has something here. TONE Clear crystal-like clean channel. Never said that about a Marshall ...

THIS AMP IS RAD!!!!!!
by wumbashred77 ,Jul 05 '09
Pros: Major Versitality, plenty of gain, extremly loud volume and killer looks!
Cons: takes a while to dial in that "perfect sound"
This amp is great!!!! It has plenty of volume and versitality. It has more gain than you'll ever need, loads of volume, a solo boost feature ( which is great for those longer solos and leads) and unbelievable reverb that'll bring down the house. Definitly owns a mesa rectifire any day! this amp is discontined so you can find them floating around used of great prices! ( mine was 400 used from guitar center). If you like marshall, or massive rich tone in general, I highly suggest you check the mode four out.

The Marshall Mode Four 4 is Awesome
by blutic ,Jan 05 '04
Pros: 4 channels (modes) for great variety. One is specifically for baritone or detuned guitars.
Cons: I really cannot think of one.
I got a Mode 4 head and slant 280A cab for Christmas. I cannot describe how great this amp sounds. It is even great at low volumes. Beats the heck out of tubes!!!
