Pros: best lenses on the market, extremely durable, PolarizedPlus technology Cons: Just a little pricey - over $200
The masterminds of great sunglass lenses at Maui Jim do it again. I have been a big fan of Maui Jim for quite awhile and they have now put out a product that cannot be bettered by the competition. I purchased the Maui Jim Kona Rectangle Wrap with the ...

Pros: Best lenses for the eyes I have tried. POSSIBLE improved vision. Cons: Price and UNattractive styles ????? Maybe NOT.
Before getting my first pair of costly sunglasses, I tried on about 50 pairs and wound up getting a Bolle with a glass lens. Looks had to be compromised due to my need for ROSE colored lenses. These had to be special ordered for $120. I am ALMOST ...

The best of the best !
by par5lover ,Mar 23 '04
Pros: Great UV protection and their great looks.
Cons: Nothing I can think of...even the price didn't hurt.
While vacationing in Mexico, I had the chance to try out alot of sunglasses against the glare of the sun. I wandered into a great little shop in southern Mexico and discovered these gems ! It was love at first sight....so much so that I've yet to put my Oakly's back on.
They cut down all the harsh glares and are easy on the eyes.
I can't say enough about them. Just try them once and I think you agree.

Great Service
by mcrae294 ,Sep 01 '06
Pros: Great glasses and great customer service. They took customer service to the max. Cons: None
I love Maui Jim sunglasses. They are so light and they cut down the glare immensely. I would have never paid $150 for a pair of glasses until I tried on a pair of Maui Jims. My dog gnawed my first pair, so I bought another. My dog gnawed my second pair, so I bought another. My dog gnawed my third pair, so I decided that I was not meant to own expensive sunglasses.
As a lark,I mailed the glasses into Maui Jim to see if any could be repaired. I just received three pair of "what appears to be" new glasses and dog biscuits. Is that not the sweetest?
Muai Jim has a loyal fan forever. Thanks guys.

Worth the big bucks
by kendalldk ,Jun 01 '05
Pros: Lightweight with awesome polarized lenses Cons: Pricey and cannot get prescription lenses
I bought my husband his first pair of Maui Jim glasses 6 years ago. At that time I thought NOBODY needs a pair of sunglass that cost over $200. I was so wrong. My Kona's are my second pair of Maui Jims, and I love them even more than my 5 year old pair. The patented polarized lenses just cannot be beat. Everything is so clear and crisp, I almost feel like I have bionic eyes when I wear them.
The Kona's are very light and flexible for maximum comfort. Also the wrap-around lenses provide great coverage.
The only down side is you cannot get Maui Jims with prescription lenses (due to the patent).

Not the best that you can get out there!!!
by kalrage ,Jun 05 '05
Pros: Very cool website, not much in the glasses... Cons: Very Expensive..
Average polarization effects. but can not match some of its competition such as PERSOL Polarized Sunglass.
Do not believe me for it?? Well, just go to the nearest Persol Sunglasses and ask for the brown or grey polarized lens and see for yourself.
Did I also mention that Persol is being sold almost half the price of the Maui Jim Sunglasses
Check it out....

Prescription Maui Jim Kahuna Sunglasses
by rschiemel ,Jan 21 '08
Pros: Great style & eye protection Cons: Expensive
Someone wrote a review that said Maui Jim sunglasses are not available with prescription lenses. Last week I bought Maui Jim Kahuna sunglasses with prescription progressive lenses at Lens Crafters. I had never heard of Jim Maui, I just liked the style and the concept of polarized lenses. Every place I go people take one look and say "Wow, are those Jim Maui sunglasses?".
