Pros: An innovative ball at a budget price from Maxfli . Cons: Lacks great feel in and around the green.
It is in golfing's greatest movie, Caddyshack ; that Ty Webb as played by Chevy Chase utters the classic golfer's mantra: "Be the ball." I ask you, now that Maxfli has introduced it's new Noodle golf balls- should one endeavor...
Pros: Long and fairly durable. Cons: Not quite as soft as Maxfli would have you believe.
Maxfli promotes the new Noodle ball as "Long and Soft" - easily one of the best golf ball marketing campaigns in recent history (if not ever!). With a marketing campaign as creative and clever as that, I had to give these new balls a try.
Pros: Great Price, Good Distance, Fairly Soft. Cons: Doesn't hold greens at all.
The Maxfli Noodle is a new budget ball introduced to keep pace with the ever expanding collection of low compression balls. The Maxfli Noodles compression is around 80, the core is 55. The low compression allows you to hit this ball a long way, but...
Pros: Great distance, decent price Cons: Costs more than a similar Maxfli ball, less feel than you might expect
When Maxfli first introduced the Noodle, I couldn't bring myself to play with it simply because of the name. But then I found an orphan at my local course and thought I would give it blast (besides, I was having a bad round, and I figured why should I ...
The Golf Ball That's got It All Call it The Maxfli Noodle Does It All by jjb ,Mar 16 '04
Pros: I love this golf ball because of the price 20 dollars in most stores. Cons: Cover on the ball could be harder. Scrape marks show on the ball easier.
I have been trying to find a golf ball that has it all. I mean when you hit the ball, guess what, it does what you want. Many times I bought so call championship balls that cost a small fortune for us golfers who love golf but are not professionals. I will not name Maxfli Noodle competition but look out for the Noodle, as it's good as any out there at any golf course.
Distance is super and matches any other golf ball on the course.
Accuracy - Stays on course where you aim it.
Soft Compression Feel - the ball has a great feel.
Spin is Outstanding. A sticker on the greens, does not run off.
Putting Accuracy is excellent, matches the masters
The cost of this ball is affordable to all golfers - $20.00 a dozen. This price beats the competitions prices, which makes it a best buy for what you get.
I found the ball I was looking for The Maxfli Noodle!
For $19.99 a dozen, it's a decent ball. For $14.95 a dozen at Dick's it's a no-brainer. Recently they sold a dozen with a bonus 3pk of el dente balls, which is a good buy. I'm an average golfer getting better, but this ball didn't help. I would say it's in the same range as a Strata Tour Ultimate. It's definitely not a Pro V1. I sliced many of these into the maintenance shed areas, woods, stream, and lakes. Maybe it's me, but at the driving range I hit 85% straight, and with these it's a crapshoot. I can hit a top flight range ball 230-255 on average, but this ball I seem lucky to hit 230 and straight. Maybe it's nerves, but I doubt it. Putts well. If you play often, it's a good buy because it's inexpensive. If you play less than twice a month, buy a better ball and slice a few strokes off your score.
