Pros: Starwood points! Cons: Not a great location, but it's a sleep spot.
Look, you can spend a lot of money in Las Vegas, enough so that I don't have to tell you about the $14 bowl of gelato that I bought, pretty much by accident, at the Caesars Palace mall. And you don't have to be Charles Barkley or Pacman Jones to do it, ...
Pros: Westin "Heavenly Bed", Well Furnished Rooms Cons: Boring Casino, Pool, Dining/Shopping selection
IntroductionDuring my last trip to Vegas, we pulled a two-fer. we stayed at the Westin Casuarina, and the Tropicana. We were looking forward to both, and the Westin Casuarina was up first. After finding a nice rate at around seventy ...
Pros: Free parking, but most Vegas hotels have free parking. Nice beds and bathroom. Cons: Overpriced, old, not at all fun.
The Westin Hotel group usually puts up some pretty nice places, but the so-called "new" Westin Casuarina is not one of them. This is the former Maxim Hotel located about 2 blocks off the strip on Flamingo. They spent millions (more than they had ...
Pros: Price, beds, amenities, service Cons: Show's it's age.
Me, my husband and mother in law stayed here on 5/24/07, we got an exceptional deal just $60 through priceline. When you drive up to the hotel, you notice it's in a "non descript" location off the strip. The area next to it, is a demolished hotel ...
No complaints - Nice quieter place to stay by jamilynd ,Jul 23 '05
Pros: Comfortable, close to the strip, and quieter than strip hotels Cons: Rooms were on the small side but nice, staff was friendly
There were six of us girls going to Vegas and we wanted to stay in two rooms. I picked the Westin and all of us were happy with the choice.
Although we were booked though priceline and requests were not guaranteed, we did manage to get two non-smoking, two queen bed rooms, next to each other. That was perfect. The beds were comfortable - definitely heavenly - and the bathrooms had most basic toiletries we could want. The air conditioning worked well as did everything else in the room.
Is it a $400/night hotel? Nope, but with the $150/night rate we got for each room it was more than a good deal.
