Pros: Inexpensive, long wearings looks natural, no breakouts, covers well Cons: May not have enough coverage for some
I had no reason to buy Maybelline Pure Makeup Shine-Free Foundation with H2O. I don't have oily skin - in fact, I lean toward dry. I don't need foundation, that's for sure. And I didn't think this cheap little tube of foundation would be worth a ...

I've been using Maybelline Shine-Free foundation for about two years now, but it seems to have been replaced in stores by the new Maybelline Pure Makeup foundation. The main reason I liked the old Maybelline Shine-Free foundation was the good color ...

This is my first Foundation. At 16, I've never really worn much makeup except a little lip gloss and mascara, but when I saw this I decided to buy it. The fact that it's 50% water based instead of oil is what drew me into buying it. Let me start off ...

I am in my 40's. I never even tried foundation until my late 30's. When I did start wearing foundation, I was stumped as to how women found the right shade. The color samples used in front of the display for the Pure Makeup are a true match for the ...

Pros: No shine. No cake-look. Natural looking. Goes on smooth. Helps acne. Water based. Cons: Doesn't cover up severe acne scars or dark spots that well.
I'm usually into high-brand cosmetics because the drugstore kinds never have my shade and/or lacks coverage. I was breaking out badly at the time and I came across this product. It targets people who are prone to acne or have really oily skin. Ding ding ...
I highly recommend this foundation! It goes on creamy and smooth, it never ever feels cakey, and it truly makes my face look and feel fresh and natural. I have heard people say that this doesn't cover up blemishes, etc, but what I have to say is that blemishes are a problem to be handled through skin care (creams, face wash, treatments) and not foundation makeup. Foundation makeup is just that, a foundation on which to build a fresh face for the day. Blemishes, which I personally have, require skin treatments. This is a lovely foundation that I will use for a while.
Pros: Refreshingly light, airy, natural looking coverage. Comes in a variety of colors. Cons: Short lasting...makeup tends to smear or "run" when the weather heats up a bit.
Maybelline Pure is a refreshing product and feels very light and weightless on the skin, however it is a sheer foundation and does not provide great coverage for those with many imperfections to hide. It comes in a variety of shades and blends easily with your fingertips. Only a very small amount or "dab" on the finger is needed to cover the entire face and the cost is very reasonable.
The only drawback for me was the fact that it would appear to smear or "run" after about 5/6 hours, especially in weather with temps over more than 75 degrees. I don't like touching up my makeup during the day and most women simply couldn't find the time to do so, therefore it probably is something that one would only wear late in the evening a few hours before bedtime, but never to a party because more than likely it would sweat off very easily.
It works very well for me! by marissa088 ,Mar 14 '07
Pros: Wears off after about 6-8 hours Cons: Covers redness and blemishes, light and airy, doesn't cause breakouts or skin irritations
Overall, I really like this foundation. It is extremely light and airy, much more so than any other foundation I have used. My only problem with it is it does wear off after about 6-8 hours, not completely, but noticeably. So, I would recommend using a longer lasting foundation if you need coverage all day long. Also, I have medium-oily skin with redness and occasional breakouts, but this product doesn't cause breakouts and covers the redness very well! I don't even need to use a separate concealer. It is great! I really enjoy using this product and I've been a loyal customer for over a year now.
Pros: No oil, goes on smooth, matches skin tones well, price Cons: not good in hot weather, not alot of coverage
I loved the idea of a makeup with water instead of oil. And for under $5 i had to try it. It blends in very well and matched my skin perfectly. I have oily skin and it did nothing to help my skin look less oily. And it didn't really cover my redness on my face. I am not a big fan of liquid makeups but if i do have to use one this would be the only one i would use. I think if you use Maybelline Pure makeup, you really need to use a powder over it, then it would be perfect.
