Pros: Efficient and attractive. Cons: Price, not hands free unless you purchase additional items.
I prefer to breastfeed my babies, so when I found out I was pregnant with Jack, I knew I would need to purchase a pump. I borrowed one when I had Lauren and had since returned it. Fortunately, my husband had a great benefit at work to receive a Medela ...
The MEDELA PUMP IN STYLE ADVANCED came highly recommended from the childbirth/breastfeeding class which I took at the hospital before having our son. I knew that I would be going back to work after he was a few months old; I also knew that I would want ...
Pros: Pump does the job well. Expect it to last through more than one child. Cons: $300 and no return if you hate it. Backpack could be have better storage.
Oh, so much money for something you can't even test drive or return if you don't like it! I have been using my pump for about five months now with great success. Bottles: This setup comes with four of the Medela bottles. At first, I wanted to get ...
Pros: Efficient pumping action, maintains my milk supply, easy to use, comfortable, attractive bag. Cons: Expensive and very heavy.
I bought the Medela Pump in Style Advance Breast Pump (in the backpack) in Feb 2005. I have been using the pump faithfully and have not been disappointed. I was able to build up a large supply of milk to freeze before I returned to work. Now that I am ...
Pros: Awesome customer service. Cons: None really, just minor issue with the tubing.
I have been using this pump since I went back to work. I've seen other ladies use the nursing room at work, but I must admit, my backpack looks more fashionable than theirs! This pump is very quiet compared to my loud, bulky hospital pump at home. All ...
Pros: very portable and a nice sleek appearance Cons: expensive compared to most breastpumps on market.
I bought my Medela pump over two years ago and have truly enjoyed a lot of use especially for being a working mother. There were only a couple of things to point out or watch for. When one uses the power cord be careful to wrap the cord around the ...
Pros: compact, durable, fast easy to clean Cons: not much extra storage in the back pack itself
This is a great pump. I would consider it very comparable to the hospital grade pumps. I had to straight pump around the clock for my son. He never learned how to breast feed (preemie) and we used it for seven months. It is quick and painless, as long as ...
Pros: Discrete, efficient, perfect for double-pumping at work, adaptable for Avent bottles with conversion set. Cons: Motor a bit loud and heavy. Difficult to completely clean the connector unit.
Love this pump. It's very efficient, and the let-down function works well for me and mimics my baby's suckling pattern. The backpack unit travels well and discretely, although it doesn't hold a lot of extra stuff if you usually carry paperwork and ...
Pros: invaluable, powerful, fast Cons: kind of expensive
This is a great product. I had the original for my 1st child and decided to upgrade to the Advanced model for my new addition. I am glad that I did because by baby was a bit early and I needed the higher power to do the job due to not being able to breastfeed for a while. I got this pump from Add A Little Love.com (I used them for my 1st pump too) and was just as pleased the 2nd time around. Medela has the best pump out there and I am glad I did not compromise the quality of pump and the level of expertise with the person that I purchased from for a slightly lower price. You definitely get what you pay for. I also used the hands-free bustier - everyone using a pump should have one of those things too!
must have for breast engorgement problem by pujagogri ,Jan 08 '05
Pros: yahoo shopping, for $235 Cons: none
i had harmony pump, and I hated it. I got so engorged, and was going to give up breast feeding, but one my friends suggested to invest in this pump, mainly for its let-down function, which only comes in advanced series.
So I got this pump, because, the formula is so dame expensive; also breast milk is the best. If you breast feed ur baby only for 15 days, you will save more than $250
The harmony pump made my nipples sore, this pump is just fantastic. Do get it, it will relive you engorged breast instantly.
Pros: Everything about it was great Cons: expensive, but well worth it
We first purchased a cheap pump at walmart. It didn't work at all so we returned it. Then we went to the hospital and purchased their Medela Pump in Style Advanced Backpack. We have never been happier. It works great. I've never had a problem and it is very easy to operate. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
Pros: Has never failed - I use it approximately in 3 hours intervals every day. Cons: It doesn't come with nipples. Buy the Gerber Slow Flow Silicone ones.
I have back pain and found that breastfeeding my little one would require me to sit in a shoulders hunched position too long for me to bear. This pump allows me to pump out my breast milk in under 10 minutes and feed it to my baby in a much more comfortable position. I use it almost every 3 hours each day and it is still working as good as ever. I hear the other pumps aren't meant for daily use. I also use this while traveling, it allows me to pump in the car and feed my little one warm milk while on route. We don't even have to stop for his feedings.
I should own stock in Medela by now, after the use I gave my pump and the number of Medela products we bought, from breastmilk storage bags to bottles. This pump is an excellent product. The Advanced version has different settings to mimic the baby's sucking and to increase your letdown. I pumped exclusively for my daughter, who wasn't able to breastfeed, and this pump worked as well as the hospital grade one we rented for a month. I highly recommend it.
It never once broke, and I had excellent milk supply with the pump. There are many coordinating parts, including the hands free bra, bottles and bags, and so it is convenient for working and pumping moms. The backpack is black and carries all the parts. It's discreet and reasonably stylish.
If you look on the web for Hackley Medical, you can sometimes find it for $225 instead of $300 retail.
