Pros: Works great, price, can use on a variety of clear plastics, non toxic. Cons: Takes some elbow grease and patience.
I discovered Meguiar's PlastX a couple of years ago while searching for a product that would help remove some of the oxidation and minor scratches on my Civic's headlight lenses. I have been impressed with most of Meguiar's line of car care products, ...
Pros: Works well to make hazy headlights clear, easy to apply Cons: Price ($7.50); toothpaste might also work and costs much less
For a while I have been unhappy about the appearance of my 2004 Infiniti G35's headlights. They developed what looked like a layer of substance that made them hazy. They always looked a little fogged and no amount of ...

Pros: Might work on other applications, but I only tried PLastX on my headlights. Cons: Milky white film that would not come off until I used a different product.
Upon using the Meguiar's PlastX as described on the bottle (it states it works on all types of plastic) I found it had absolutely no effect on my cars headlights. The headlights on my Ford Taurus had become cloudy and yellow and were rather ...
Works like a plastic polish, nothing more. by audijs9 ,Jun 27 '09
Pros: Non-toxic, Inexpensive Cons: Didn't work well
I purchased PlastX after reading fantastic reviews on this product all over the web. Despite endless of success stories that I found, I was pretty disappointed with the overall quality and effectiveness that I obtained while using PlastX to revive the look of my headlights. PlastX was only able to bring a tiny bit of brightness to my 10yr lights, but after a week of ordinary driving and weather conditions, my headlights were back to zero and I had to once again re-polish them to obtain the minimal gained look. This product might work well on lightly hazed, scratched, or cloudy 2-5 year old headlights, but certainly not on an older vehicle like mine, regardless of what the manufacturer or other reviewers might think. If you have an older vehicle like me, your best bet is sanding with a 400,800, 1500 grid, and adding clear coat to achieve the “Like-New look”. I’m sorry PlastX, but this is not the product for me.
