Pros: great durability, milage and handling Cons: none
I have to admit that I have been buying Michelin tires on every vehicle I have owned for the last 20 some years except for a momentary slip in judgement when I bought Goodyear tires (Wrangler if I remember right) for my "78" Bronco. After one...

Pros: Quiet on highway Cons: I keep blowing the sidewalls
Michelin is renowned for their tread life and how even the tread wears. Proven on many sports cars in many races, Michelin has made quite a name for themselves.
I don't believe that Michelin has ever actually tested their tires in an off-road...

Pros: Amazing Life and performance with regular rotation. Best bang for your buck! Cons: Some road noise, but not bad at all.
I bought a Mazda Tribute SUV 2 years ago, around the same time of the infamous Firestone defective tire scandal. Well, this SUV came standard with Firestones, so I told the dealer to replace the tires before I bought the SUV with Michelins just by their...

Pros: long-life comfortable tire Cons: higher cost
I have used this tire several times. I have bought 2 sets of LT235/75R15C, and one set of LT235/85R16E. I kept the 16's the longest. I have documented over 90,000 miles on that one set of tires. I bought them at NTW (now NTB) and bought their...

Pros: Excellent wet and dry weather handling improves ride over OEM tires, increased mileage. Cons: They do roar a bit.
The Michelin LT24575R16's replaced OEM tires of the same size. The vehicle that now wears them is a 2001 Chevrolet 2500HD LT Model regular cab with a Duramax diesel.
If you got a truck with a lot of power, and are starting to fish tail in wet...

Pros: Great tread life, good traction, Cons: Somewhat expensive
These tires came as OE on a 1998 3/4 ton Dodge Ram 2500. After 53,000 miles they are now beginning to show wear and will need to be replaced in 5,000 miles or so. They were used mostly for highway driving, often towing a heavy trailer. I found they...

Pros: handling AND tread wear Cons: none, zippo, nada
Superb tire, i believe it re 100K miles, these came O/E on my 98 Mazda MPV 4WD van, we put 54K miles on in 2.5 years, tires started with 13/32 tread depth (measured recently from the unused spare) and are now at 6/32, which means 4/32 usable tread left...

Pros: Balance well, very smooth, long tread life Cons: price, more noisy at end of life
I have had quite a few tires on all the vehicles I have owned over the years, but the Michelin LTX M/S have to be the best value in tires you can install for mainly belle weather highway driving. At first I purchased these at Costco after doing ...

Pros: Reliable, smooth, quiet, great grip, great wear resistance, peace of mind. Cons: Price.
Okay, I have a Jeep Wrangler '01, not the smoothest riding vehicle in the world to begin with, but much nicer now with my Michelins on. Came from the factory with Goodyear Wranglers on it, and they were functional. Never had a flat, and didn't beat ...

Pros: Great ride on the highway and guaranteed traction when 4WD is needed. Cons: I never found a con with them.
The only reason I am thinking about replacing them is that the right rear wear bars are starting to show. I know I should have taken better care of them but I never had to give them a second thought. With my son playing AAA hockey we have put many...

Pros: Great ride and performance. Cons: Maybe a little pricey, but worth it.
I replaced my P235/75/15 Firestone Wilderness ATs on my Ford Explorer with this tire. (I actually got the Michelin XC LT4 from NTB which is the same tire but with a private brand designation. Same M+S specs with the 105S rating.)
Ride had...

BEST TIRES I HAVE EVER HAD
by steveblack70 ,Oct 30 '09
Pros: excellent wear, life longevity and at a fair valued price Cons: wish they would last forever, but thats why the make more
I drive a 1998 ford f150 with about 300k on the odometer. Most of my driving is on the highway . I currently have about 125k on this set of michelin ltx m/s tires. The only reason i need to replace them is because there are small surface cracks between the tread, however there apprears to be plenty of good tread life left. I wouldn't be afraid to go on a small trip with them even at the current mileage. Winter is comming and i dont want to take any chances. These are absoultly the best tires i have ever owned without a doubt ! in the 300k miles on my truck i have replaced the tires 3 times and this will be the 4th time. The first few sets were not michelin tires and didn't last quite as long. If you are looking for a tire that holds up to any use i recommend the michelin ltx m/s tire

I like them a lot
by luvsnow ,Dec 02 '03
Pros: Excellent handling, stability, and ride. Cons: More expensive than the alternatives, but not enough to affect the choice.
I just bought a set yesterday for my Dakota 2WD, and I already see major improvement in handling and stability over the Bridgestones they replaced. The truck feels more "solid" on the highway, and the steering is more responsive. The ride is significantly better at highway speed; small defects in the pavement aren't noticed at all like with the old tires. I'm really glad I paid a bit extra for the Michelins; they're worth it.
