Pros: grippy, two choices (cheap, heavy wire bead, or more expensive, lighter kevlar) Cons: short wear life
Not all tires are good. Some are squirrelly, and some hate turns or wet logs. Not this tire. The Wildgripper Lite S rear has Michelin Silica or what have you compound in it's tread, making the tread very, very sticky. My old tires used to skip around on...

fantastic tires!
by smac539 ,Jan 11 '05
Pros: Fast, sticky, predictable, light, 127tpi.
Cons: French
I love these tires and can't figure out why the other people are saying they wear out fast. Maybe because I stay off road exclusively, so the pavement doesn't grind them down. I put approx. 500 miles on them last year on my homegrown, riding hard most of the time. I weigh 175lbs and ride aggressively. They look like they'll go at least one more year, maybe two. Fastest rolling tire I've had and best gripping while breaking and climbing, with extremely predictable cornering. They made me faster and more confident (fun!) than I was previously. Just for fun I put the old IRC Mythos tires back on for comparison. One ride was all it took and I gave them away. Then I tried my beloved Panaracers - no comparison. I'll stock up on these before they're no longer available.
