Michelob Light: More Full- Bodied than You Would Expect

by Bryan_Carey Bryan_Carey is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Restaurants & Gourmet, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Oct 01 '01
Pros: Smooth, easy to drink
Cons: Unappetizing aroma; flavor of rice
Anheuser- Busch is that largest brewery in the world, and many of its products are among the best- known and among the top- selling brands of beer. The Michelob line is promoted as the company’s “super- premium” brand of beer, even though it isn’t worthy ...

Michelob Light: Not Just Another Lightweight

by popsrocks popsrocks is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Restaurants & Gourmet, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jun 17 '06
Pros: good taste
Cons: No head. Light in body.
I happened to be at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in New Hampshire a couple of years ago and at the end of the tour they had a tasting room. One of the beers available was Michelob Light. Though I have had the brew since, I do remember the taste test I did ...

Light? Not Hardly.

by lpteague , Jun 20 '02
Pros: Great flavor for a light beer. Comes at a good price.
Cons: Not really light. Kind of bland.
As far as macro-brewed Anheuser-Busch products go, the Michelob line is designated as the "premium" beer. It costs a hair more than Budweiser, and in my opinion, offers a slightly smoother and more satisfying flavor.

For the money,...

Even more annoying than your usual light beer

by Chad9976 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Feb 21 '09
Pros: drinkable (barely)
Cons: off-putting smell; tepid body; dirty, metallic taste; too heavy for a light beer
The fact this beer even exists at all is quite surprising. Michelob is Anheuser-Busch’s quasi craft beer line, but even their beers are not all that high in quality - so why bother with a light? Surely, a Michelob drinker who wants a light would ...

High-end of the Low-end

by Teykaerts , Jul 08 '00
Pros: Smooth for a macro, omnipresence
Cons: Mde by Budweiser
Michelob Light is the best of the cheap macrobrews. Although I consider myself something of a beer connessieur with somewhat discriminating taste, there are times when I just want to kick back and watch a basketball game, or a pizza and have a few...

So light you almost don't taste it

by 4-1-1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Oct 30 '00
Pros: lower in calories and carbohydrates
Cons: fizzy, light, chemi-beer with no character
Michelob is one of those beer brands invented years ago as an exercise in marketing. Here, Anheuser-Busch takes a plain tasting beer product and wraps it in new clothing (an exotic and shapely bottle that resembles the female form) and pawns it off on...

The Middle Class Beer !

by brightomaster , Oct 08 '00
Pros: Great taste, light, affordable
Cons: Absolutely none
Michelob Light beer has to be the true beer of the middle class in America. This beer is truly the choice of party goers as well as restaurant customers.

Michelob Light should be renamed " America's Beer". Michelob Light offers a...

Why Bother?

by AlcoholReviews , Jun 07 '00
Pros: Lacks Ghastly Characteristics
Cons: Lacks Admirable Characteristics
If one is fixated on drinking a light beer, that is, one that is low in calories, to be drank cold, and as inoffensive as possible, then I suppose Michelob Light is a fine choice. But is that good criteria on which to base one's selection of beer?

a good, versatile beer

by metermaid , Jan 29 '00
Pros: good staple beer, appropriate for almost any occasion
Cons: none to speak of
I am a person who prefers a mild beer to anything heavy or dark like an ale or a lager. Therefore, most of the beer I choose to drink has the word "light" in its name.

Michelob Light is one of my favorites. I find it to be a good...

Its the Smoothness......

by narcz , Dec 24 '99
Pros: great smooth taste
Cons: price, depression
Michelob Light is a good beer. The best thing about it is the smooth rich taste that follows. It is a little expensive, but if the ocassion calls for a get-together or a family gathering, this is the perfect brew. It is quite strong, compared to other...

Beer, or Yak Pee?

by Annie_Mae9 , Feb 07 '00
Pros: neat bottle
Cons: lousy beer
What could go better with a nice steak dinner than a nice cold michelob? Just about anything. I admit, I am not much of a beer drinker, but the all too light, burnt toast flavor of Michelob Light is simply revolting. There were four major problems...

Good Beer Here!

by wilshire1 , Jan 13 '00
Pros: Real smooth, tastes good.
Cons: Nothing unacceptable.
Mich Light is just about the ideal beer for almost anything if you aren't looking to spend a bunch. It's the first beer I turn to when looking for a thirty pack to split with friends, or play a game of pong with. Mich Light is extraordinarily smooth...

Strong, but damn good

by bbeck01 , Jan 17 '00
Pros: mmmm....beer
Cons: price
This is another beer that deserves a lot of recognition for its great taste. It is a little pricy but overall I believe it is worth it. When you are having a party or just a get together with a few friends this is the perfect beer to have. This beer...

Great taste, especially for a light beer!!

by nigelcorn , Jan 21 '00
Pros: Incredibly smooth taste, best tasting light beer
Cons: a little bit pricey
I normally tend to stay away from light beers, because for the most part they taste like you are drinking diluted urine. Michelob Light is a light beer that actually makes me want to drink Light beer.

The taste is incredibly smooth, and...
