Pros: Very smooth, Very CHEAP!!!! Cons: Instructions for the driver disk would be nice.
When the ball in the bottom of our mouse started to mess up, I definitely wanted to buy an optical mouse. I have always had trouble with the old-fashioned mice. The rollers mess up, and the mouse pad is a pain. All of these problems would be alleviated ...

Pros: Extremely inexpensive, nice feel. Cons: Doesn't work with Office 97's Microsoft Access Database.
I installed this mouse on a client's computer to replace an older non-wheel ball mouse that came with her Dell machine. I've installed a lot of Logitech and Microsoft scroll wheel mice over the years, and expected this one to act pretty much the same....

Worth every penny!
by conlin98 ,Jun 29 '04
Pros: Accuracy is great Cons: Still need a mousepad at work
Before this mouse, I'd never used an optical mouse before. My father explained to me how much better they were, but for the longest time I was quite happy with my $5.00 mouse. Finally it got to the point that the roller wouldn't work at all on my old mouse. So I broke down.
I purchased this mouse for about $10, and it was totally worth it. It's amazing how accurate the mouse can be without having a roller!
My only slight complaint is that a mouse pad is still necessary at my desk at work. It's not a wood desk.
I would recommend this product to anybody who desires an accurate, attractive, inexpensive and convenient mouse.

Insane mouse during Boot up
by jj4146 ,May 13 '05
Pros: not too expensive.. was $10 or $12 dollars I think Cons: Goes Insane from time to time
I picked up the Micro Innovations PD450P 3 button Optical mouse at the local electronics place. I plugged it in the computer and all seemed find, heh. During boot up the slightest movement of the mouse will send the pointer flying across the screen in random directions, at very high rates of speed. When it's doing that it is clicking random clicks. That opens several screens and moves stuff around.
This morning I waited until it was booted up to move the mouse. It still went insane, but it did not last as long.
Also, some times after the computer has been on for a while I can move the mouse and the pointer will jump to a different random location. It does not seem to be clicking when it does this at this time.
