Pros: It doesn't matter the con outweighs all the pros. Cons: The frame rate is awful. (Even with over recommended power).
I am a huge plane enthusiast and as a result I am also a big flight simulator one as well. I have gotten every flight simulator since 95 and there is no doubt that as an overall company Microsoft makes the best one. I really enjoyed flight simulator 2004 ...
Pros: Realistic scenery Flying lessons Extensive help system Addons are readily available Cons: Slow framerates
I have the following computer specs:Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 at 2.13 GHz (4MB L2 Cache, 1066 FSB)3 GB Corsair XMS 2 DDR2 memory at 800 MHz1 GB DDR2 EVGA NVidia Geforce 9400 GTWindows Vista Home PremiumI used to only have 2GB of ...
Pros: Really cool specialized missions and G force effects Cons: It can bring fast computers to their knees but just moving the sliders up.
I actually got a speeding ticket going to get this game the day it came out as I being a flight simulator fan couldn't wait for it to come out. I get the box and read the specs and they are: - Microsoft Windows XP or Vista - RAM: 256 MB if running XP, ...
Pros: Most realistic general aviation and commercial aviation simulator to date. Cons: Requires a modern computer to run.
This is by far the smoothest and prettiest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Right out of the box, Flight Simulator 10 is what Flight Simulator 9 is only after hundreds of dollars of add-on software. As you would expect, it will run best on the ...
Pros: Not a bad price, easy for beginers, graphics card not needed for low graphics playing. Cons: You need a joy stick , you need a graphics card for Great graphics.
This is a awsome flight simulator, esp. with the hundreds of addons available. First of all if you want to buy Flight Simulator X you need to have Windows XP or Windows Vista other wise it will not work. You will also need at least 512 RAM. This is ...
Pros: Accurate topography included, very pretty airplanes. Cons: Needs a super powerful computer to operate satisfactorily.
I bought the hype so I bought knowing I would have to lower my settings a bit. I have a 2.53GHz P4, 1G RAM and an NVidia 7600 GS video card. I run FS2004 with MegaScenery and all sorts of add-ons with the sliders maxed out with no glitches whatsoever. I ...
Need Fast Machine to play by popisgone ,Jan 04 '07
Pros: Will work good on a 4,000 dollar computer Cons: Bad frame rates. So so New planes.
I have a duo core 2.6 with a 7600 GT over clocked machine and still have to have on low settings. Planes are a little better. But flightsim 2004 is way better for machines 2.2 ghz. Flightsim X you need at least 3.0 ghz and a real fast video card. And i don't see much difference anyway flying around. The regional jet sucks. The add on CRJ Regional jet much better from Wilco for the flightsim 2004 program. The Airbus that comes with Flightsim X is fair. Addon programs are much better. Flightsim X is not frame rate happy at all. I wonder how they test these games. It says can be played on a 1.1 ghz machine LOL. Stick with flightsim 2004 unless you have a 4,000 dollar computer.
need a really good computer by beano7722 ,Feb 04 '07
Pros: I got to fly in my hometown!!(Squamish Canada) really neat, and sorta realistic Cons: Very demanding of my system, and some stuff WON'T work
I'm running a two year old p4 2.4g with 512ram and a 9250 radeon 128m vid card.
I have everything set on low and it's still very laggy an my computer... aaah well... time to upgrade....
But It said it could run on 1.0G system LOL...good luck!
As for Recommended/Not Recommended....
Yes the sim seems really good...
-If microsoft said minimum 3.0ghz and 2gig ram, + a kicking video card, then I wouldn't have been disappointed..
But NO... It won't run on any of my friends systems...
So I won't recommend it...
microsoft should be more realistic about system requirements
-I gave it a 3/5 stars cause I think it may help me with my pilots licence....
Extremely graphic demanding by niccosuave ,Jan 28 '07
Pros: 2 DVDs as opposed to 4 CD's. Protective case. Nice interface. Cons: Processor and graphics hog. High end PC's can't even handle this game.
Functionality is all the same (option settings, controls, etc), new planes, new layouts, and promises to be an improvement. However, I spend more time tweaking the game enough to just "get by" than playing it. Its frustrating to have a setup like mine thinking I can handle any game at high or max settings and still register less than 10 fps in FSX. I'm running Asus P5N with Core2 Duo 3 gig 1066 fsb, XFX 7950 GT Nvidia graphics, 2 gig Ram OC, water cooled. Play FSX and I feel I'm running a 486 PC. I don't play it much anymore. reverting back to FS2004.
