Pros: Game play, graphics, sound, length of game, and good plot. Cons: Multi-player not what I had hoped for.
My first review in quite sometime. At least I have plenty of new things to write about now though lol. Ok on with the review. If you are involved in the game world at all then this was a game you heard a lot about during the final stages of ...
Pros: Gameplay. Longevity. Oh Lord! Cons: I have to go to work...
"There comes a time in a gamers life, that a new breed of game develops and will set a standard for other games to be judged. I pried myself away from the game for a few hours to write this review. As you are reading this, I am already back at my...
Pros: Excellent graphics, addictive gameplay, interface achieves near perfection, and a good plot. Cons: Brings even powerful machines to their knees.
Every review starts with a comment or opinion in regards to this game being the ‘next’ Diablo. Well, my vote is that it really is, and that it deserves all the praise that it is getting. Dungeon Siege has most of what made Diablo so addicting, fixes...
Pros: Impressive audio and graphics, simple gameplay Cons: Gets extremely repetitive very quickly
Being a fan of Blizzard's Diablo series, I was intrigued when I first heard of Gas Powered Games' action RPG, Dungeon Siege. From all accounts, it was a Diablo-esque game with ramped up graphics and sound, and the ability to completely control up to...
Pros: Decent replay value, good graphics Cons: Repetative sound effects, music get old fast
I have mentioned Dungeon Siege in many previous review and compared other games from this genre to it. However, as I recently realized, I have not reviewed this game yet. So, my apologies to those who read my other game reviews and had no clue ...
Pros: Beautiful graphics and sound, easy to use interface Cons: Shallow story, hands-off battle system
Dungeon Siege was supposed to be the Diablo killer. It was a much hyped, action orientated CRPG where story took a back seat to some great hackin’ and slashin’, with lots and lots of looting on the side (with the much talked about pack...
Pros: Sensational Graphics and Excellent sound. Nice animation of characters. Pleasant front-end. Cons: Shallow plot and paper thin gameplay. Dreadful Repetition. Some absurd situations.
I have been eyeing Dungeon Siege from Gas Powered Games and Microsoft for many weeks now and weighed up all the seeming pros and cons before eventually shelling out some of my hard earned cash for what I hoped would be a worthy addition to my vast...
Pros: Excellent graphics Cons: Too much of this and that, gets boring quick, very tedious
Dungeon Siege is a Diablo clone from Microsoft. Even though it has better graphics and more camera control than Diablo II, the game itself just doesn’t have that addictive quality that Blizzard knows how to instill in its games. This game starts out ...
Pros: Immersive 3D world captivates the player Cons: Very, very linear storyline
Dungeon Siege by Gas Powered Games and Microsoft has been a long time in arriving. First hyped over a year ago, this game has been promising a highly immersive, 3D environment for fantasy role-players that would beat anything on the market. This would...
Pros: some great party fighting Cons: bad story, repetitive in a bad way
I think I’ll start off this review by saying that Dungeon Siege is really deserves 2.5 stars, but I rounded up since we can’t give the ½ on our system. The game itself is a combination of RPG and Action. However, these are not even amounts. The action ...
Pros: Very Customizable; EXCELLENT Camera Control; ADDICTIVE; Mods give endless potential Cons: Maps not randomized; having to take time away from playing to eat/sleep
First there was the discovery of fire, then the wheel, and then written language. Through the ages we've been blessed and sometimes cursed with advancements such as gunpowder, the combustion engine, aerial flight, solar energy, and even the Twinkie....
Pros: Great graphics, good interface Cons: Horrible bugs, BORING stretches of gameplay
When Dungeon Siege came along, it was sometimes called the "Diablo Killer". Playing the game, it's easy to see why: there are a lot of resemblances, but Dungeon Siege does some things better. Don't go running to re-write gaming history yet, though: ...
Pros: Beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay no load screens, customisable characters, easy to learn interface Cons: Linear game play, multiplayer will never be viable as character files are stored locally.
I will not attempt to recap the already excellent reviews written by others on this product, instead I will attempt to review the game's strengths, weaknesses and give it a comparison to Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo II/Lord of Destruction that it was...
Pros: Excellent game playability,sound,graphic
Levels with puzzles and hidden items Cons: Lack of Multiplayer support
No dual weapons like Diablo II
No Townportal???
The Good….
The most interesting thing to note of this RPG system is that your character is totally customizable. The more any character practices a specific style of fighting, the more proficient he/she becomes in it. The 4 main...
Pros: Stunning 3D graphics, excellent interface, excellent flexibility, many hours of entertainment Cons: Roleplaying material a bit shallow; for die-hard RPGers, too combat-minded
I was really hesitant to purchase this game when I heard who was developing it--not so much Gas Powered Games, but.. Microsoft? Sure, I trust their Office suite, have had a good experience with WinXP, and I hear their flight simulators are excellent.....
Pros: Fantastic Graphics and sound, very easy to learn gameplay, big fun factor. Cons: Highly addictive. Combat gets repetitive. Sarah-plain-and-tall story line.
Thousands of gamers have been waiting through 2 years of hype for this game...and I promise that it was worth every second. Bill Gates and his army of programmers teamed up with Gas-Powered Games to create this unique, awe-inspiring masterpiece that...
Pros: Immersive 3D environment
Excellent character development
Extensive gameplay - both in single player and multiplayer. Cons: Requires a fast computer
Getting Started:
Right from the start Dungeon Siege makes it easy for you. The install menu automatically pops up and you can immediately proceed to install without having to enter a long string of meaningless numbers (the cd-key). Starting...
Pros: graphics, sounds, items Cons: story, learning camera system
When Blizzard released Diablo, a new era started in RPG market. But not a match was released after then. But now we have another and very good alternative.
First of all you have to create your character. But this is not as important as it is...
Pros: Fairly easy game to hooked on, easy to play, easy plot (if one at all) Cons: Too short, too easy to play for those after a challenge
O.K. so I bought this game as I have finished Baulders Gate and was after a new challenge. Looking back after finishing the game, I am a little unimpressed really.
The game is really easy to play. My nephew who is 4 can play it. He understands...
Pros: Amazing Graphics, FUN, Lots of Action, Huge Game World Cons: VERY liniar, Simplistic
Wow, this game is very difficult to write a review on... DS is very similar to Diablo and Diablo II, but there are some major differences both good and bad:
The graphics are just amazing. The game is fully 3D rendered and if you have a...
Pros: great graphics, good sound, good story, lot of freedom Cons: maybe a bit heavy on some systems
First off I would like to tell you I am not an avid fan of this genre of games. I have watched plenty of my friends waste hour after hour wandering through dungeons, crypts and even hell, but never got the feel for it myself. There were one or two games...
Pros: Interface; Graphics; Length of game... Cons: No NPCs; Voice acting; Gets very dull...
The title pretty much sums up the whole game: walk forward, slice enemies, walk forward slice more enemies. For hours on end! Indeed, there is virtually no respite from constant assault unless you happen to stumble into one of the towns on the fairly...
I remember when I first started playing this game, and the very first thing that captured me was the wonderful scenery. Even today when I installed and ran it for nostalgic reasons I found the environment to be beautiful and abundant in elements. A feat ...
Pros: Awesome Graphics. Great Gameplay. Sweet Multiplayer Cons: Need A very fast computer
The graphics in this game are superior to any other rpg game of it's type. The spell effects, the immerse scenery and the details on the characters themselves are outstanding. Every weapon armour or any other upgrade you do, you can see it on your...
Ok, here goes. Every fan of RPG might not like this game but it's more directed towards the gamer who wants more of a little bit of everything in a game.
We have minor RPG elements, minor real-time strategy and a 3rd-person shooter.
...
Pros: Pretty. Good sounds. Streamlined interface. Cons: Gets old fast. No replay value. Entirely linear. Hands-off combat system.
Well, I just finished Dungeon Siege. 33 hours, 24 minutes in all. I have to say, I am much less a fan of the game at the end than I was in the beginning. Any other game that I would be able to finish in just 33 hours, I would be irritated; with this...
Pros: - easy to learn interface for those new to rpg's
- nice graphics Cons: - game play gets monotonous
I am a first person shooter (FPS) player (quake, unreal), so rpg's are a little out of my expertise. In fact, besides Max Payne, this is the only non-FPS game I own!
THE GOOD
- This game was easy for me to learn.
- Also, I was able...
Pros: nice graphics, some very nice soundtracks Cons: very boring, no gameplay, overhyped game of the year ! Slow under WinXP
i think Dungeon Siege might be one of the most hyped games in this year. Many people raved and praised the game before it even came out. I was one of the people, preordered the game and got it the weekend after it was released.
Diablo With Glitzy Graphics, Easier Gameplay by Neuroleptic ,Jun 26 '04
Pros: Great graphics Cons: Can be repeatitive
If you loved Diablo, you will be a little disappointed with Dungeon Siege.
The graphics are superior, but the gameplay, though somewhat initially addictive, will leave you feeling hollow in comparison.
The upgrading of the players can be slow after an initial boost, and you do not pick up 'Super Items' that can be used by lower level party members, as you can with the hero in Diablo.
Overall a mostly satisfying, cut and slash, if you keep your group small, to say 4 or 5.
I spent a whole lot of time playing the Diablo games. Dungeon Siege was hailed as the next Diablo. I think it fell short. Graphically it was impressive. That's about all I can say. It got boring in a big hurry. Walk for ten minutes, kill a bunch of enemies, walk some more, turn around and go retrieve you mentally impaired donkey, walk some more...
