I recently watch superman returns on this player and it was unreal how the picture was, plus I used a Sony Bravia.the picture is amazing!!! Their is now an update that you can apply to the Xbox 360 so you can watch in 1080P, that depends if you're TV can do that too. I predict HD-DVD will win the format war, Blue-ray doesn't have a chance, I've heard numerous reviews saying the HD-DVD has better picture quality than Blue-Ray, and there is a huge catalog of HD-DVD movies.

First off let me say that I had to return my Xbox 360 for repairs. This is important seeing as how the HD dvd drive will not work without a proper working 360.

its bigger than i thought it would be. Faster than what i've heard of the other high def dvd players. The picture is amazing. Honestly i'm only running a 720p/1080i signal out of my tv and this picture is seriously awesome.

I can't wait until I can take full advantage of the 1080p. One small complaint was that while watching king kong, hd in all his beastly glory, a notification came up from xbox live telling me a friend was online. This totally took me out of the movie. Kind of sucked, but i believe that I can figure it out so that it does not continue.
