Pros: GREAT motion tracking, good for less hardcore gamers.
Cons: Expensive, requires a lot of space.

Summary: When I first saw the Xbox 360 Kinect, the first question that came to mind was: why? Why would the already stellar Xbox 360 console want to add in ... read more

Pros: Very nice look and the camera follows you. Really Realistic play.
    Cons: Sometimes really laggy.

Summary: My self as a consumer, I love Kinect. Its a great way to get exercise and not break your TV screen. Unlike Wii, where you would have to buy a remote and by accident the remote slips out of your hand and hit the TV screen, the Kinect you can play without ... read more

  • Good hardware, but will the potential be realized?

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 17, 2011
Pros: Good motion controls; works as advertised; great potential
Cons: Need plenty of room and light. Lag (possibly). Not enough software yet.

Summary: Let's get this out of the way first -- I detest terms like "hardcore gaming" when it comes to the Microsoft Kinect, the PlayStation Move and the Nintendo Wii. We're all playing games, folks, and it's a bit ridiculous to live by the notion that some games ... read more

    Cons: Some games not accurate

Summary: Click for the complete breakdown…Before the Kinect system was launched there were a lot of people who wanted to see it fail, before even giving it a shot.  However, despite that the Kinect has been a wild success as it will sell more the 5 ... read more

  • Microsoft's Kinect: A Work of Art

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community

Pros: Great motion tracking capabilities, lots of customization, great for families.
Cons: Still a small amount of flaws such as voice recognition, but nothing major.

Summary: Everyone knows about the Nintendo Wii, the first ever console that used a motion controller. Since then, there have been many improvements to that basis, such as the Playstation Move controller. But no one expected Microsoft to reveal a device that ... read more

    Nov 8, 2010
Pros: Fun and intuitive controls, compatible with all 360s, advanced technology has good potential
Cons: can lag, expensive for the experience you get,

Summary: The new Microsoft Kinect attachment for the Xbox 360 has been long awaited by both my kids and myself, and now that its out we are all wondering if it raises the bar that the Nintendo Wii set so high. Sadly it tries a bit too hard to do just that. The ... read more

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community

Pros: Some interesting motion tracking technology with future potential
Cons: EXPENSIVE. Only white skinned people living in a "properly lit" gymnasium need apply.

Summary: WHAT IS KINECT? For whatever reason, Microsoft has been intent on turning my once professional looking Xbox 360 into a more kid-friendly  Nintendo Wii clone.  I’m not sure who’s responsible for this over at M$, ... read more
