Pros: Nicely designed grip and handle, adjustable sensitivity, good control layout, inexpensive. Cons: Right-handed design, noisy keys after excessive use, no force feedback.
I was out shopping for a good controller for my PC gaming needs. Amongst other choices such as a Playstation or Xbox controller, I noticed a rare sight at the store – a two in one controller- Microsoft’s Sidewinder Joystick 1.0. It was fairly cheap for a ...

I originally bought the Microsoft SideWinder 1 at Radio Shack because I was on a tight budget, and $29.99 sounded like a steal. When I got home, I opened the box, which came with the controller wrapped in bubble wrap, a registration card, 8 page help ...

Pros: Easily hooks up and Calibrates Cons: No force feedback - Cheap plastic
I recently Replaced my aging Gravis BlackHawk which was Gameport based to a MS Sidewinder. Windows found it immediately and unlike the Gravis controller it stayed Calibrated. Great performance and Price. For only $30 you don't get any force feedback and everthing is made of plastic. there are no rubber grips or buttons here.
I played Falcon 4:Allied Force with no problems and would have to say this is an excellent controller for any flight sim fan. If your more hardcore looking for force feedback then look somewhere else and pay a bit more.

Pros: Control is unbelieveably smooth, throttle lever is ingenius. Cons: No force feedback
I recently bought Flight Simulator 2002 and was using my Playstation controller through a USB adapter and was quite pleased with the result. That was until I bought the MS Sidewinder and plugged it in to my other USB port.
The control seems like it was made for the game which I know is a bold statement but nonetheless true. The control right out of the box was smooth as silk and didn't jerk around. All eight buttons are easily reached and the functions were mapped perfectly. I never once reconfigured the control scheme. I have to mention the throttle lever on this bad boy. Instead of having full throttle or no throttle this lets you dial in anywhere in between.
