Pros: excellent graphics Cons: small variety of games
Since PS2 and Xbox have come out it has been a difficult choice to pick one of the two. Xbox has been a much talked about system that has much to offer to the hungry gamers in need of something more exhilarating. Xbox is a system that is made by the...

Pros: Comes on every time without any glitches or hassle! Cons: Sorta on the bulky side with a fairly descent price tag attached.
I have had this system for approximately 2+ years and it works every time without a hitch. Never once have I placed a game in it and had any difficulties. I have never had any issues with disc scratching or failure for games to spin or overheating. I ...

First off, yes I do actually own this unit... as well as an extra controller, DVD playback kit, and 3 games... so far!
Before buying this I really wasn't sure whether Microsoft could pull it off. I have been a major hater of their software...

Pros: Stores music on the hard drive, Optional Component Video Output, DD5.1, Games.
Cons: No face mounted controls, remote and digital connectors seperate. Possible baby crusher, see comment.
The XBOX is an excellent gaming platform, and I use it as such, but today I decided to review it as a stand-alone DVD player.
I'll start by saying that this "DVD player" has some great games with great graphics, sound, gameplay, and potential....

Pros: Like the machine, love playing the games. Cons: No method of complaining about the quality of their support or quality of product.
Bought my box in 2001. Had disk read errors forever. Thought it was indeed dirty or damaged disk causing the error. (its what the error splash said) Kept putting off contacting MS as it did not seem to be THEIR problem. Turns out after my DVD failed ...

Pros: Hard Disc drive Cons: Funny shock feeling
I don't think no one will read all 149 reviews (as of today), so this may be a repeat of what others have said in the past.
I'll just point our a few things that I feel it's important. I too, read many of the review before I got my XBox. Lot...

I've owned all 3 of the newer generation systems.. I got rid of the Gamecube after 6 months, kept the PS2 for over 2 years and have had an XBOX now for 2 weeks.
I love it. So far, I haven't noticed any remarkable graphical differences from any...

Pros: Has passed the test of time and its here to stay in my opinion. Cons: You have to buy a dvd playback kit to play dvd's.
A year ago the future of xbox was uncertain. I believe it's the premier game consule available at this time and if you dont own one now your missing out on incredible games available now and in years to come. Im not going to compare this consul to any...

Pros: Comfortable controllers that made me forget my Atari 2600; awesome exterior design; graphics! Cons: Bill Gates made it; still to expensive for the working class.
Tony is a nerdy 14 year old sales representative at my local game store that not only knows a lot about video games, he can also give you a complete list of home remedies for acne that would not hurt your monthly income (like squeezing a garlic and...

Pros: Powerful hardware, great potential, does not crash, lots of bang for the buck Cons: None significant
I waited so long for an American-designed game console, and was overjoyed when I heard that Microsoft was going to make the Xbox. Even though manufactured in Mexico, the Xbox was designed with the American adult gamer in mind, and it shows.

Pros: Excellent Graphics, Excellent controllers, Wide array of game types, Cons: Must buy remote system to play DVD movies.
In direct comparison to other game consoles. Microsoft's XBOX is by far the best overall game system. Better Graphics, better games, better controls. I also have Sony PS2 And although I enjoy both, I find that XBOX is the better package by far. I also ...

Pros: This will be the platform of the future Cons: Slow start
If you read most of the reviews of the Xbox on this site, none of them were written after the Xbox actually came out.
The Xbox arrived in Mid November 2001 alongside the Gamecube.
The Xbox is setup to become the gaming platform of...
