Pros: Quiet, HEPA, manueverability, lightweight, thorough, flexible, easy to store, adjustable handle, easy to switch attachments Cons: Bags $$$, no headlamp, big attachments not on-board, bag clogs before full.

Pros: suction is awesome, light weight, great attachments Cons: hose could be a bit longer, very expensive
Summary: You certainly get a bang for your buck.. would never purchase anything other than a Miele S548.. The Miele S548 has a long lifespan. You could step or even jump on the hose and it does not puncture or break.
