To Drill or not to drill

by kingofsuck , Apr 11 '01
Pros: This Drill is well balanced or as can be expected.
Cons: Stripping out the handle in the body can really ruin your day!
The Milwaukee drill has many nice features. One being the handle.I have had other drills with this much torque and no handle,so help me if I didn't about tear my wrist apart when the bit got stuck on a piece of wood or metal. Now don't get me wrong...

Like big tools? Who doesn't?

by dalesky Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Mar 28 '00
Pros: Simply the best of everything
Cons: Best for demanding jobs- heavy/large
I actually have 3 Milwaukee corded drills. One each 3/8" keyed and keyless, as well as the 75th Anniversary 1/2" I'm writing this review on.

I've had the keyed 3/8" for 15 years, and the others for less than 2. These tools hold up.
This...

Don't settle for less, this is the best.

by mattski , Nov 08 '99
Pros: Powerful, reliable, comfortable
Cons: none
Hooya! This is one tool I can unconditionally recommend. Unless you have carpal tunnel problems, in that case it will probably rip your arms out!

Power is there to spare. I've managed to bog it down but that was drilling a two inch hole, with...

Woodworker and old home owner

by Freundly , Apr 10 '00
Pros: Big power for big jobs
Cons: Not for general purpose drilling
Power to spare. I bought a hole shooter about 3 years ago to help me with the electrical work in my house. My Skill 3/8 just wouldn't cut it. I was struggling to make holes in the rock hard old joists. The spade bits were burning up and spinning in the...

Milwaukee, because I'm worth it

by abstractist , Dec 20 '99
Pros: lifetime tool, plenty of power, OLD RELIABLE
Cons: keyless chuck is a bad idea for this great drill
When you reach for a power tool and you have a job to do reliability is, to me, the most important factor. I rely on my tools to be in working order, no matter how hard I treat them, they must be able to work and work all day if required. This...

Milwaukee 1/2" Hole-Shooter rules!

by peterskm , Aug 01 '01
Pros: Durable. Tons of torque. About as heavy-duty as it gets.
Cons: Heavy. Expensive.
This is my first Milwaukee tool and after using it, I can say it won't be my last. Originally, I stayed away from Milwaukee due to their higher prices. When shopping for a new drill, I figured I'd go all the way since I heard how good this drill...

I Want One More!

by zookeeper16 , Jan 25 '00
Pros: Versatile, tough
Cons: Sometimes too tough
My husband uses this drill at work...a lot...everyday...all the time! He says he wants one for at home too. It is a very durable and dependable drill that really takes abuse (either from hard work, long falls or just plain dirt!). It has a 5.5 amp...

75th aniversary edition

by syd97 , Jan 28 '00
Pros: tough U.S.A. made drill
Cons: stamped steel case in the age of high impact plastic
My boss ( who is also my good friend ) and I are currently involved in the remodeling of a camp in the mountains up here in northern NY and he recently purchased the 1/2 inch Milwaukee drill for a large deck that we put down.

We started the...

Big Bertha

by townsend7 , Jan 19 '00
Pros: Power, Quality, Durability
Cons: There are none!
I've had my 1/2 Milwaukee Magnum Hole-Shooter for about three years now. This drill has earned the affectionate nickname Big Berth more for it's big power and quality than for it's size.

This is one of my favorite tools. I use it primarily...
