Pros: Characters and portrayals of upbringings in Africa. Cons: mysteries not so deep
I adore this series; everything is spelled out, and you are given just enough information to see how Precious or her assistant have figured things out. The down-to-earth, native African life and thinking styles are beautifully laid out in this series. ...
Pros: An entertaining read. Cons: A bit too much repetition of previous events.
This is another great book in an even greater series and I really like the way that everything is described in such an African way. Possibly fewer cases being solved in this book, however, instead we are given different things to think about so that the series does not loose interest. I believe that if they were all exactly the same then we would all know what will happen after the third book. As it is, you are able to enjoy the whole series with some variation and change in plot. Another great thing is that you do not need to read them in order because they always fill you in on all earlier given details.
A quick and easy read, yet a highly enjoyable one.
Pros: Character development is excellant Cons: Mystery is not strong
This is a great book and a wonderful series. While the mystery aspect of the book is not strong, the character development and descriptive writing allows the reader to transport to a part of the world that (literarily speaking) we don't often get to visit.
