If you have read any of my restaurant reviews (which is probably highly unlikely), you will notice that I heavily emphasize the diversity of food that exists in Hong Kong. Because I am so enthusiastic about talking about the diversity of food in Hong...
Pros: Very good steakhouse fare in a great atmosphere. Consistent service and food across multiple locations. Cons:Very pricey, not the best steak I've had for the money.
Introduction Dining out at nice restaurants for business lunches and dinners is one of the p ...
Pros: Chicken, shrimp Cons: Not one in my home town!
Steak- I can take it or leave it! I eat a fairly low fat diet, so when we decide to splurge, I want to make sure it is on something I really want! My husband on the other hand is a steak-a-holic! He could eat a big, bloody, full of fat steak every...
Pros: waitress was the only positive item Cons: everything else
My first visit to Morton’s was over 25 years ago at its original location in Chicago. Over the years I have eaten in several of its restaurants across the country. Three years ago, after eating at the Stamford, CT location I told myself I would never go ...
Morton's is a Chain Restaurant. You wouldn't know it at first, but it is. But it's a trendy chain restaurant - the sort of ritzy, smoky establishment that whispers slyly, "I am not a Chain Restaurant..." As if to make up for this fact, the...
Pros: Excellent steak, refined and relaxed atmosphere, attentive services. Cons: Pricey, vegetables and choices for vegetarians limited.
I have been to the Morton's in Los Angeles and San Francisco a few times now, and have on every occasion left pleased and satisfied (if considerably poorer). Although it's a chain, the quality in my experience has been consistently high. All of the ...
Upon a friends suggestion we canceled a reservation with Ruths Chris Orlando on the 24th and made one for the Mortons Orlando Location. At arrival we were greeted a reception by a Lady who to put it mildly did not seem to know where to put herself and ...
Pros: A meal worth returning for again and again Cons: I Can't afford to eat here every night
I could hardly contain my excitement when my husband said I could pick out the locale for the group Christmas Party. He was in charge and knew since the birth of my son, I didn’t get out much. Yes, the neurotic mother who had a hard time trusting a...
Pros: you might see a celebrity Cons: vegetables are not great
I had wanted to try Morton’s for a really long time and was somewhat disappointed in the whole experience when I finally went. To tell you the truth, I expected the atmosphere to be a little more glamorous or at least, somewhat updated. I felt like I...
Pros: Excellent steak, asparagus, Godiva chocolate cake Cons: Quality and atmosphere vary by location, very expensive
Morton's is an upscale, very expensive restaurant. Expect to spend $200 for a meal for 2 with wine. I've dined at Morton's three times, once in Detroit and twice in Scottsdale. The first time I dined at Morton's, in Detroit, was the only time I was...
Pros: Great atmosphere, very attentive customer service, and killer dessert. Cons: A little overpriced and the steaks were just OK.
People have always said that Morton's of Chicago is a better steakhouse than Ruth's Chris. So, I finally broke down and checked Morton's out the other day for dinner.
Pros: The best food and preparation Cons: No health food or low prices here.
I'd never encountered Morton's before this week. I can't even remember ever walking past one on the street. All that changed on Tuesday, when a sales team from a prospective vendor treated my boss, two co-workers and me to dinner at Morton's in...
Pros: relaxing atmosphere, quality food, good service Cons: pricey
I have been to the Mortons of Chicago in Cleveland (Tower City) twice in the last 2 yrs. Both times it was a very enjoyable evening, and for a special occasion (Having a small child, it was a nice "grown up" evening!)
The decor is dark...
Pros: Great meat, nice service, cosy atmosphere Cons: not quite "delicate," souffles eggy sometimes
Morton's of Chicago has been a favourite of steak lovers in Boston for a long time now. The service formula is really unique and might turn some people off, but it's all part of the Morton's experience, so go with it and smile: a cart with raw packaged...
Pros: Terrific food, wonderful atmosphere, great service Cons: Costly (though worth it); limited menu, not for casual dining
Should you try Morton's? It depends on whether you want to (a) spend $75/person (before alcohol) for a steak dinner or (b) live in a Frank Sinatra song for a few hours.
Morton's is the kind of restaurant that we assume they don't make anymore....
Pros: Large portions, outstanding service, perfectly-cooked meat. Cons: Expensive.
I gave in to my curiosity and finally tried Morton's of Chicago. I have been avoiding such a loss of will-power, since I am usually disappointed by chain restaurants. But maybe my distaste for chains has had more to do with the TYPE of place I was...
A friend of mine was real crazy about going to Morton's when we were students in Pittsburgh, probably because that was the only good restaurant there that we knew. We would go there every week and he even got a VIP card from Morton's.
Over the years, I've eaten in Morton's of Chicago pretty often. Morton's has been a good place to take customers, or someone you want/need to make an impression on. Lately, I've noticed a certain "slippage" around the edges in my Morton's...
Pros: Everything has always been perfect! Cons: A long wait, make reservations. Price for some people
Morton's of Chicago has become a place that my husband and I go to every year for our anniversary. Our first visit was seven years ago, we went to Morton's to celebrate getting our marriage license. Ever since we have gone back each year for our...
Pros: Everything about this place! Cons: You have to sell a kidney to be able to afford it
If you are looking for a truly memorable restaurant, Morton's is the place for you. Make sure you bring a credit card with a high limit, and a VERY empty stomach!
First of all, reservations are a must. This place books up fast! And with...
I used to love steaks. If it came from a cow, I would scarf it down. When I first got the chance to go to Morton's, it was like being in heaven. My second trip was just as pleasant. Then I went off to college. Eating a steady diet of dorm food, I...
Pros: You feel like you're going to an impressive establishment... good for a special occasion. Cons: It's a CHAIN restaurant. This reflects in the lack of attention given to the food.
Morton's of Chicago has just recently deposited itself in a trendy district of Richmond Virginia. A group of 10
and myself, satisfied our curiosity, having never eaten at one of their locations before, and dined
there a week ago. The gimmick of...
Pros: Great basic food cooked well Cons: Atmosphere not favored by all
Speaking specifically of the Morton's in Boston (I have been to ones in San Fran and Beverly Hills as well), it's like visiting an upscale swank bar during the height of prohibition. The restaurant itself is located directly across from the Boston...
Pros: Generous (huge) portions, very good food, outrageous steaks! Cons: A bit pricey and can be crowded. Reservations are recommended.
My friend and I walked into Morton's without reservations at 7pm on a Wednesday. We were advised they could not seat us for 90 minutes to an hour, unless we chose to dine in the bar.
Since they offered a full-service menu in the bar and...
Pros: food, service, elegance Cons: price (not that you'll even be thinking about it after your fabulous meal)
It’s Friday night and I am being taken on a surprise date. My companion has decided to repay me for all the dinners I have treated her to. Although I insist that such an action is wholly unnecessary, she proceeds to lead me down Boylston Street to our...
I love this place!!! Surprisingly so. We drove up and saw valet parking signs which automatically means we are in a high priced snobbish place with small portions and high prices. Not so here.
Pros: good food and service Cons: expensive and not very roomy
I was expecting something pretty amazing considering all of the hype I heard about the place. Don't get me wrong the food was great. I was just expecting something with a little more room and not so loud.
Pros: THE BEST STEAK Cons: If you don't have much money it's expensive and ala carte menu
What's there not to like about Morton's?????
Driving up to the restaurant there's valet parking, a plus.
We are greeted when we enter and asked about our seating preference.
I have gone there on the spur of the moment while dressed...
Pros: Fabulous food and service Cons: well the price may be high for some
I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, Mn and visit our local Morton's on a regular basis. I have actually worked my way up to VIP status for dining their so much. From the time you pull up and the valet opens your door you understand what type of night...
On Wednesday night, nine co-workers and I had dinner at Morton's. This was my first visit to Morton's of Chicago in Lower Manhattan. It was an experience I wish never to repeat.

Morton's is somewhere I'd only treat myself to on very special occasions - for just two people eating there, my bill ended up being around $100. As a college student in Boston, I wouldn't be able to afford eating here more than once per year.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Morton's (in Columbus, Ohio) twice and both for business (otherwise I would have had to take out a small loan) and both times were very pleasurable experiences.
Pros: Absolute superb food and service Cons: Is rather pricey
I dined at the Morton's of Chicago location in Nashville, Tennessee last year. My husband's family was celebrating the 30th birthdays of his sisters (they're twins). Anyway, his Dad treated us all to Morton's and what a treat it was! It is a get...
For my brother's 18th birthday, my parents took us to Morton's Steakhouse. I love steak! But, I'm also very picky when it comes to my favorite food. I usually leave the restaraunt rather disgusted with either the service, steak, atmosphere, or sometimes...
Pros: amazing steak, great service, good wine selection Cons: very expensive
I have had the good fortune of eating at Morton's in three different cities (Philly, NY, and Washington, DC). Let me say that the service at all of them is wonderful. To see the waiters bring the steaks out and describe each cut is a mouth-watering...
Pros: Great Food, Wonderful Atmosphere Cons: Expensive, Reservation A must!
Morton's of Chicago is a food critic's dream! If you love fresh seafood or if your taste buds are hungry for a perfectly seasoned filet mignon, Morton's can stand up to anything. The atmosphere is light and the attire is dress/casual. On average its...
Pros: Delicious food, great atmosphere and service Cons: ?
My husband and I ate here for the first time on our honeymoon in San Francisco. We'd been walking all day and wandered into this little place called Mortons. Boy, were we in for a treat! The onion bread they started us with was so fresh and tasty....
Pros: Beam me up scotty, I just ate half a cow. Cons: Can't walk... arteries clogged.
Having visited Morton's of Chicago's LA location on La Cienega and San Vicente last night, I can personally confirm the fact that William Shatner likes a big thick steak. Sitting right across from Captain Kirk, I saw him choose between the various cuts...
Pros: excellent menu, wine selections, service Cons: high price
This is definately a special occasion restaurant! My husband and I dined at the Morton's location in Baltimore recently and had a wonderful experience. Everything is ala carte, which we are not that accustomed to. First the server presents the cuts of...
Pros: GREAT STEAKS!! Cons: can be a while before you get seated if you get there late, opens at 5 or 6 only.
Morton's is a fairly expensive meal for a family of four or for a dinner with fellow business-men. The meals are about 60 - 100 dollars, per person. One bad thing about Morton's is that it only is open for dinner, which can be bad because you can only...
on several trips to morton's, my tastebuds have been richly rewarded. everything from the plush booths to the polished wait staff to the wonderful food was enjoyable. i am not normally one to have dessert after a meal, but the chocolate cake with...
Morton's of Chicago is one of the best restaurants out there. It is located near Union Square and what a great place to shop. After a long day of shopping with your girlfriend, men need a place to recharge. So if you want a great glass of wine or a...
Pros: Steaks and atmosphere. Cons: Pricey without expense account.
Morton's is a great overall steak place. The tables are nicely spaced and the decor is excellent. The service is impeccable and professional. The one downside is that it is a bit pricey, so best to go there on an expense account.
Bring a big appetite. Morton's is a steak lovers dream. The meat is top quality and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is perfect for a business dinner or a men's night out. The service is top notch. If you are a steak lover, wine enthusiast and...

Pros: Best Cuts of Meat Cons: Everything is A La Carte
I have eaten at Morton's quite a few times and I have never been disappointed. If you enjoy steak then this is the place for you. The freshest cuts of meat are fired up on a grill while you wait. Down side to Morton's is everything is ALA Carte but the...
Like being in a basement in Cleveland circa 1976 by iesosa ,Jul 25 '04
Pros: None Cons: The food, service and decor; what is there to like.
After searching for this restaurant I realized that it is in the basement of a bland building on Bolyston Street. We were seated almost immediately but within five minutes I had a headache from the almost incessant noise all around me. The waitress came by after 15 minutes and then brought over a cart with the main dinner items wrapped in plastic; weird and gimmicky is what I thought. 60 minutes after being seated we got our ok steaks. That gave me plenty of time to observe the horrible decor. I tried to drown out the noise by drinking a couple of martinis. After what can only be described as a disastrous dinner for two, the bill came: $170. Outrageously bad and expensive is a deadly combination. This place needs to be closed down.
Pros: none Cons: Lousy food, overcharging, terrible wait staff, etc.
Worse experience I have ever had with a restaurant. They authorized the credit card twice and once for more than the bill was. They will do nothing about it now that the bill is paid. The food was the worse. The staff stood around and gossiped half the night, and the souffle was the worse I have ever tasted. Go somewhere else for a $200+ dinner this place is not worth the money.
Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: Burnt food, poor service, $150 down the drain for two people
I had the New York strip and my wife had the Cajun steak at Arlington VA on 11 Jun 2005. Both were burnt on the outside. I waited over 15 minutes for water although we were the only ones there. The second fill up was a bit faster at 10 minutes as was the last. The desert took over 50 minutes to make and thus, we ordered it to go. My overall experience was very bad for both customer service and quality. Although I've heard great things about this place, I can only surmise that they had a bad day. That being said, I don't give second chances, I am done with Mortons.
What a horrible place to eat by consumer4u ,Nov 19 '03
Pros: non Cons: bad service
terrible desserts
overcharging
I went to Morton's while vacationing in Washington D.C. the food was overpriced, the dessert was horrific. I would have had better food at a McDonald's.
If you want good steak go to Sullivan's or Chris Ruth's, it is not as expensive and the staff is at least friendly.
I will never go back to Morton's.....ever!!!!!!!
Pretentious and over-priced by swissphil ,Nov 18 '03
Pros: Struggling to find any. Cons: Exorbitant prices for average food. Way over the top prices for wine.
I can only recommend to people to avoid this chain. We tried two, the first in Nashville, and had such a terrible experience that we couldn't believe it was that bad. We went to the New Orleans branch and had a hassle when we wanted to see the prices and the wine list before deciding if we would stay or not. We didn't.
