This Motorola is a decent phone for a decent price.

by modernmarvel Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jul 22 '04
Pros: Decent value for the price, good handset design, pager, mute button, caller id
Cons: Range is a little limited
We needed a new phone for our kitchen. We didn't need one of those fancy, expandable models since there was a phone jack already installed. I found this model at Officemax for $25 with free shipping. WHAT YOU GET This set includes the handset and ...

Motorola 2.4 GHz cordless phone served us for a long time

by artemis8 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Nov 29 '09
Pros: comfortable, easy to use, format button
Cons: limited memory
One of the oldest phones in our home just got replaced this last week. The Motorola MA351 2.5 GHz Cordless Phone was a staple in our kitchen for many years. This cordless phone was a stand alone unit. It didn't have an answering machine and ...

Pretty Darn Good Phone

by BrandonX , Sep 11 '02
Pros: Small size, solid construction, attractive, brand name, good sound quality
Cons: Wall mount looks akward, headset jack is inconvemient, NiCad batteries
First impressions, great feel in the hand. Very solid, though slightly heavier than I would have liked. Appears to be able to take a beating. The handset looks great, as does the base unit. The only aesthetically unpleasant part is the wall mount....

A good phone for a hard to please family

by annintenn , May 16 '03
Pros: Good quality, pleasing to the eye, good range, backlit, page capabilities
Cons: Poor wall mount, some buttons very small
I have been through my share of cordless phones and am pleased with this Motorola product. There are some things I would change but overall it seems to have been a good purchase.

QUALITY
One factor in buying the phone was that it seemed...

Phone is a Piece of junk

by quahogboy , Dec 14 '03
Pros: Nice look and feel
Cons: Battery life is terrible Phone reliability is suspect Range was no better than 900 mhz
When we went from a 900mhz VTech to this phone my wife and I figured that Motorola must make a solid phone since they made pretty good cell phones. Was I ever wrong. In less than a year since we bought this thing we have replaced the NiCad battery twice ...

Excellent 2.4 GHz for the Price.

by wackyrudy , Aug 13 '02
Pros: Perfect size, Very Sturdy, Inexpensive, Useful Features, Love the visual call ID.
Cons: My only complaint is that the ringer could be louder.
When I am talking on the phone, I am very often doing other things mainly cooking at the same time. Our old Panasonic that we had for the past 6 years gave out (helped by the dog chewing on the antenna). Therefore, attaining a durable phone in case of...

Great phone for the price

by ckkopenski , Nov 29 '03
Pros: Great sound quality and nice heavy feel.
Cons: Wall mount kit took some doing to get.
We bought two of these phones to replace a GE multi-handset system that we had for only 30 days. The Motorola phones were a great improvement over the GE model. The sound is very good and the 'bells and whistles' such as back lit keypad and display ...

Piece of Junk

by jamiebionic , Jan 10 '09
Pros: Clear and loud reception and wide range over all brands
Cons: This is my 3rd return in a row!!!
Return 1: I bought this phone twice from Fry's and it is a piece of crap. The first phone I bought cut in and out on the receiver. On my first and only call, I tried to order pizza. I couldn't hear the cashier as the volume faded back and forth from ...

Solid, comfortable quality

by robhafer , Oct 11 '02
Pros: Rubberized grips, sound quality
Cons: Too many buttons? Too much info on the display?
My last cordless wasn't that bad but then it broke and we were forced into the market for a replacement. Wow, what an improvement! Easy to hold (the side grips set this model apart from other phone, worth it!), confidence inspiring, very good battery...

Need better quality from Motorola.

by jnphillips , Dec 28 '02
Pros: Attractive design, rubber "grips" fit in the hand well, sturdy housing on the handset.
Cons: Sound quality has more static than my 900 mHz.
Maybe this phone would work better for someone else who lives in an apartment or something similar. This phone didn't have a very good signal in my home as I received static everywhere I turned. I expected a lot more from this phone from the previous...

Great Phone - but will I get brain cancer?

by ywoolf , Oct 02 '02
Pros: Great Design, Clear Display, Nice Housing Unit, Inexpensive, Clear Sound
Cons: Gives me a HUGE HEADACHE, Call Waiting beep is long and cuts out the conversation
This phone looks great, sounds great and the price is great - I bought it at Circuit City in Manhattan for $50. But I have to say that I just got this phone 3 days ago and I have been getting the biggest headaches when I use it. It says in the...

Falls short of perfect

by fotmasta , Feb 07 '03
Pros: I tried every cordless phone at Target. This was the best.
Cons: Has a few potentially major annoyances.
It is well built. Feels sturdy. Doesn't have extraneous buttons to accidentally push.
Keypad has good tactile feel.

- Your voice is super LOUD. The other person is clear, but soft.
- Wall mount sticks out REALLY far from the wall....

I returned mine

by dmreed , Nov 06 '02
Pros: Convenient size, sturdy construction, backlit buttons, low price
Cons: Display hard to read, ringer volume too low, marginal sound quality, poor range.
This phone was purchased because the combination of low price (approx. $50), brand recognition (Motorola), and 2.4 GHz (longer range) was too hard to resist. Our previous phone (a 900 MHz Panasonic model) was great, but lost volume to the point that I...

Disappointed with warranty
by nepcan ,Jul 07 '06
Pros: It a good phone considering the price and support is good too.
Cons: The phone should last a little longer than a year.
The phone is a pretty good one for the price you pay. I just needed a backup phone so my "good cordless phone" will always be charged when I need it. One year and 2 months after purchase, it crashed. People could hear me but I couldn't hear them. A short while later it completely crashed where I didn't even hear a dial tone. I called Motorola and support was very good. They offered me a few ideas as to what the problem might be but came to the conclusion that there was a chip that had burnt out. Why do so many electronics usually have such a short life span with all the technology we have. I suppose the battery life could have been better too.

Just bought this phone!
by thepowersmile ,Apr 19 '05
Pros: Sleek design, cheap price
Cons: Wall mount difficult, range of phone
I just purchased this phone last week to replace my Sony 900mhz phone that I have had for 7 years because the buttons were worn out.
Unfortunately just as I suspected I couldn't find a phone as good to replace it. The range is worse than my 900 MZH phone. I tried to mount it to my wall but gave up because it is hard to get on and leaves the phone at an awkward angle.

The design of the phone is very sleek but the buttons took a little time to get used to. They are smaller that any other phone I have ever had although they are very responsive when pushed.
So far I have had no trouble with battery life and I use my phone quite a bit. I also though always put it back on the charger when finished.
Overall it is not a bad phone for the $30 dollars I paid but next time I will spend a bit more for better quality!
