Pros: Great phone, durable, great reception. Cons: "Old fashioned" as some would say since it doesn't have games, downloadable ringtones, etc.
I bought this phone when it first came out (2000) and am still using it. I have had service via Alltel and have had no problems with it. I always went with a prepaid plan since it was cheaper and more economical for my use. I even went about a year ...
Pros: Small, lightweight, easy to use Cons: "SIGNAL FADED CALL LOST"
I bought this phone through Verizon last year. It really isn't that bad of a phone. At times I have a big problem with the phone displaying a message that says "Signal faded call lost" on it. I can have 100% 5 bars of service, and it has done that to me....
Pros: The pro for this phone is that it is very compact. Cons: The con to this phone is that it isnt that durable to withstand damage.
This phone is good in many ways, but then again bad in ways too. I purchased this phone back in June of 2001. When i first got this phone, it was the best thing. I purchased it at the price of $99.99. This phone came with the charger and the holster....
I have replaced this phone 5 times (under warranty). Numerous problems, one of the main ones is dropped calls. There are tons of features, and the display is very clear and nice. Some phones out there you can't tell what number is what, but tis has...
Pros: Comfortable feel during use. Simple to use. Good volume and reception. Cons: The case is cracking, the antenna is bent. Poor battery life.
Overall, I love my Startac. But after two years of use, the phone is literally falling apart -- the antenna is bent and the case is cracking in several places. I've had a Nokia and found it to be awkward to talk on, but the shape of the Startac seems to...
Pros: Durable, Battery life, flip. Cons: Antenna breaks often if you put it in your pocket.
Up until 2000 I never had a cell phone, I had a pager for years, I had only the number feature, no voice mail or anything fancy. What caused me to step up to a cell phone was the price of pagers dropping. I was paying 80 dollars a year for it, and...
At the time I bought this phone, it was top of the line, and expensive. Over $200. I likes it, it claimed to have a 6 day battery stand-by, and it was nice and small. It seemed like it would be great.
Pros: Small, lightweight Cons: Is not durable, no repair service
I purchased this phone at the end of 2001. As long as it worked it was a good phone. Good clarity, and battery time. As of Feb. 1 2003,it no longer works. Service provider says that Motorola no longer makes this phone or services it, so throw it away....
Pros: Size and display Cons: Menu's and ring tones.
I got this phone about a week ago and exchanged it for the Samsung 850 because I didn't like the navigation.
What I like: Storing multiple numbers under one name, the display is awesome and the size is great.
What I don't like:
It is...
This phone was a gift for my wife. It is the best phone reception wise, I have used. It has a great backlit display with a very clear blue color which highlights the writing.
It has a good memory and the battery seems to last forever. The...
I received this phone as a Christmas gift and have been very pleased with its performance. The sound is very clear and the people I am talking too frequently as me if I'm talking on a land line because it sounds so good on their end. It has an...
Pros: small, discreet belt clip, lots of memory Cons: poor reception, problems losing ring/vibrate functionality
I have been through two of these StarTAC phones, and I must say that I've had enough. I first purchased the phone because of it's small size and the belt clip is very convenient, as I must carry a phone at all times for my job. Within two months of...
Pros: Small, Good battery charge, easy to use Cons: tendancy to be dropped
I purchased one of these phones a couple of months ago to replace my hopelessly old, bulky carphone. I was immediatly impressed just by the way it looks. It is a very compact, small, easy to use phone. It has good battery power and when fully charged...
2nd cingular phone i had by didefresh04 ,Aug 03 '05
Pros: It looked nice, was appealing Cons: sound was not so good
As this was my 2nd phone I have ever had (from Cingular--first was Nokia 5165), it was a cool phone. It had all the bells and whistles, a good battery life, and a big phone book. It was the pimp phone of 2002, but it is classic for all the people.
Pros: Durability, compact, features, storage capacity, LCD display clarity. Cons: Small, flat, hard plastic buttons on the keypad. This phone is also expensive.
I can't express how much I enjoy my Motorola StarTAC phone. The durability of the phone alone, says a lot to me. This phone has been dropped time after time and it keeps going. I am being more careful now, since Motorola has discontinued my 7740 model. I see the palm sized phones, the Nokia, the phones by Samsung, Quallcomm, etc, and none of this new gadgets have impressed me. I like the compact flip design as well and the cradle, lets me carry it like a pager, when I am without my purse. Talk about convenience!!! I have put it away for months, only to bring it back out again, and have services placed on it. Never have I been disappointed!
