Expensive must have! - revised

by pkitch , Jul 28 '00
Pros: Smallest available, great function
Cons: Expensive, basic features
Spellbound by this mesmerizing marvel of miniaturization, I am the owner of the new Motorola v.8162. Weighing in at around 2.9 oz and measuring 66% in size of the Startac, the Motorola v.8162's initial appeal may also be its deterrence for some.

I recommend the phone

by gsx1300r Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jan 17 '03
Pros: Lightweight, Sturdy, Good sound quality, internet access.
Cons: Signal not always great. Not in color, like many newer phones.
I have had mine for well over a year. I have two batteries, and rotate them - but the life of each is plenty. I use the phone for about 3,000 minutes per month and have a handsfree kit installed for use in the car.. The phone is about as small as can...

Amazing phone, not so amazing price

by Jamiegt , Sep 26 '00
Pros: Great reception, internet capable, Size,
Cons: Price tag
This is one of the greatest phones ever made. The size is incredible, just amazing. Cell phones have come a long way in such a short time. I only have one problem with this phone. The obvious is the price. $420. WOW! I am a wireless consultant...

Small phone with high clarity

by jjobrien , May 08 '01
Pros: Very small, very "cool," great reception
Cons: Antennae sticks out, looking silly and breakable. Ridiculously expensive!
The Motorola V.8162 is expensive at $399.99. But what you get is a very small phone with fantastic clarity. Nokia has a phone that is around the same size and is much, much cheaper -- but it does not have the same clarity.

In fact, this is...

A Work Station In The Palm Of Your Hand!

by soupcraze Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Apr 13 '01
Pros: Very Small, Very Clear, Great Features, Very Easy To Use
Cons: LCD Is Not Colored Like Some Other Phones
Today, many of us live in a business world. A cellular phone and PDA is sometimes our best friend, but sometimes these devices are a bit too large, and simply don't cut it. I was able to get the chance to try out the Motorola V8162 for a week. After a...

THE VADER

by L.Theman , Aug 09 '00
Pros: Small, New Display Screen
Cons: Price, Single Band
Motorola is back to what makes their phones worth the extra money, size. Motorola has long been the leader in making the smallest phone, and long been the leader in making you pay for it. For the first time in a while, though, the price is worth it....

Is that a phone?

by rickey , Sep 27 '01
Pros: Small, Stylish, Wireless Web
Cons: So-so battery life
The first thing that you will notice about the Motorola v8162 is that it is very small. Except for the 3/4 inch antenna that sticks out, it looks like a really small pager. I've had some people ask me if its really a phone, and then I engage in a little...

If you had 500 bucks for a cellphone,
would you buy the Nokia 8860 or Motorola V8162?
Okay, time's up.
I knew you would get the V8162.
Why?
It's only 3 ounces, has the mobile internet and
a great talktime!!!

The Best Phone

by thomman , Aug 04 '00
Pros: size, battery, internet
Cons: cost
I love this phone. I chose this over the timeport and 8500 samsung...for several reasons.
1. Its smaller by 40% than the timeport and 28% of the 8500.
2. The features are the same except this phone does not have voice dialing.
3. The...

Teeny Tiny and does the job

by Lyraciana , Oct 03 '00
Pros: Small, convenient clarity
Cons: Rather expensive
This is by far the smallest cellular phone I have ever used. This phone is about three inches long, and inch wide, and an inch deep, all folded. It has a large LCD display on it which makes it easy for Caller ID display, menu surfing, and with a...

Pros: Small
Cons: I still can't get a date with it.
I have found a new friend, and it is the vibrating function on my Motorola, but I am not quite ready to break up with my girlfriend yet. Ok, who am I kidding, like a guy that writes about a phone vibrating in his pants could get a girlfriend, well,...
