I've had terrible ear pain yesterday from an ear infection, and I couldn't find any cure. Going to sleep was a horrible experience. In the morning, I visited my local doctor. He recommended that I use Motrin to get rid of the pain and prescribed some antibiotics.
The first time I've used Motrin IB was in the hospital. I didn't feel a difference at first, but after about 30 minutes it was in full effect. My ear felt neutral and I was amazed. I only took one pill (200 mg of Ibuprofen) and my pain was gone for a few hours. About 4 hours later my pain returned, which is still pretty good because a 4-6 hour interval between taking tablets is recommended.
The only side effects I've experienced from this product were slight stomach irritation and gas. That didn't matter much to me anyhow, because of the effect this product had. The box recommends that you eat when taking the pill, but when I've taken it on an empty stomach I didn't notice much of a difference. Overall, Motrin IB was a life-saver and seems to work for multiple pains.

I am allergic to local anesthetic so each time I go at the dentist office for a tooth extraction I suffer the pain of death. I had horrible pain that kept me awake for 2 days and I even took 4 extra strength tylenol at some point but that did not reduce the pain at all, not even a little.
I tried Motrin and wow, in less than half and hour the pain was gone. I decided to test this at the dentist office today and so I took one Motrin 200mg one hour before the surgical extraction of a wisdom tooth and this made it really better. I could feel the pain a little but nothing bothering. I think that if I had took 2 200mg instead of one, I would not have felt much, if anything. I use to suffer really badly at the dentist office. Last time I had a wisdom tooth extracted I thought I would die on that chair. This time was very easy and almost painless.
This is an amazing product! And that tooth was very much solid, since it required a surgical extraction.
