Pros: Inexpensive, Pretty Light Cons: No Draft Collar
Let me confess one thing first... I have always bought expensive down sleeping bags, until this past fall. Why the sudden change of heart? While I really like my 2 Marmot down/Dryloft sleeping bags, they always seem to loose some of their loft after...
Pros: Keeps you warm when wet and is very durable Cons: Doesn't compress down very small
When its cold, wet, and the sun is going down, I've had to trust my life many
times to my last line of defense. My Mountain Hardwear 2nd Dimension
sleeping Bag. It has pulled through like a champ.
Pros: Warm and roomy (for a mummy bag) Cons: Stuff sack provided is too big for backpacking
I purchased this bag two years ago and it has been on more trips than I have. Everytime someone goes on a trip they ask if they can borrow this bag because it is so great.
The bag is light enough to use a backpacking bag (although the stuff...
I love everything about this sleeping bag. I love the way it looks, feels, the warmth it provides at night. This sleeping bag has been traveling with me for at least a year and a half now. It has been the most faithful piece of equipment I have owned. I...
Pros: its the warmest Cons: only one person can fit

Very warm bag, comfortable, and loft is resilient by grrickar ,Aug 11 '04
Pros: Soft, warm, comfortable, versatile and made well Cons: Does not come with a compression bag, just a stuff sack
I almost bought a TNF Cat's Meow, but after reading stories about the loft not holding up after compressing the bag, I deceided not to. I liked the 'expander' feature of this bag because it allows me to get snug if it's really cold, or have more room to wiggle (by unzipping the expander baffle). Other bags require that you buy an extra piece that zips onto the bag, if they even have that feature. I have stuffed, restuffed, compressed and recompressed this bag and there appears to be no ill effects on the loft of the bag. This is the first Mountain Hardware item I have purchased, but it will likely not be my last. With a sleeping bag liner I can go down to about 8 degrees and sleep comfortably.
