Toasty tootsies at last

by rebeccad , Sep 16 '04
Pros: Warm and light
Cons: Cost; down is not warm when wet
In my desperate effort this summer to lose weight and bulk, I not only got a new pack, but a new sleeping bag. Well, the former sorta made the latter necessary, as the old behemoth wouldn't fit in the new, trim pack. Remembering a series of ...

looks good, heavier than advertised

by dickross , Jan 27 '05
Pros: weight, weight weight weight, well made , regular fits 6'+
Cons: 3 oz heavier than advertised.
Actual weight is 2 lbs 2 oz, 2 lbs 4.5 oz with stuff sack. I hope the extra 3 oz are down! I am 6' and I got the regular length, seems plenty long. I haven't used it yet. The hood is made with a small face opening, you don't need to cinch it up with ...

Warm and Cozy
by jppsirus1 ,Jan 24 '07
Pros: Warm extremely compressible and lightweight so far very water resistant and loft holds up well
Cons: A bit snug through the shoulders- i am a bigger guy
The bag is great on all conditions that I have encountered. I slept in summer nights with the bag open all the way, laying on top of it. Early in the morning (3-4am) I just had to tuck my feet in and I was golden. I do sleep about average, and on the colder side if it is cold out. I think I'm part cold blooded. One night sleeping open on the edge of a river didn't faze the fabric, despite waking up to a lot of condensation. During the recent cold snap I slept out in 14F weather, and this bad was awesome. I actually had it opened up a little bit to ventilate, though I did use the hood. I slept in silk top and bottoms with wool socks. Overall well worth the money spent.
