Pros: The band has made such a progression! Beautiful vocals, amazing drumwork, a splash of piano... Cons: Several people won't take a chance on it and will choose to stereotype instead.
Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, The All-American Rejects brought forth an addictive, catchy fusion of pop/rock with their wonderful 2003 self-titled debut. Best known for the hit single "Swing, Swing", the album's defining flaw (in the ...
Pros: Streamlined pop-rock, moves along quickly, ably performed, and catchy. Cons: Well, the above, if you're not into that sort of thing.
I guess it would be pretty unfair of me to say that, in the realm of catchy, shiny, mainstream-as-all-shit pop-rock, the All-American Rejects are running unopposed---after all, the Foo Fighters and the Killers and Green Day and the like are still ...
Compared to its predecessor, The All-American Rejects sophomore album Move Along is miles ahead in terms of lyrical content as well as just the overall feel of the album. While still a good album, their debut, ...
Pros: More musical diversity compared to their debut; Tyson Ritter's vocals are just as enchanting Cons: Near non-existant. Only a few select dry areas
I don't know about anyone else, but I like to have a certain sense of relation in the music I listen to, depending on the times. Now, don't misunderstand, even though I'd rather have excellent (As opposed to just good wordsmithing and not to be mistaken ...
Pros: a solid listen all the way through--i liked it Cons: the lyrics are a little weak at times
The first time I ever heard of All-American Rejects was in 2003 when "Swing, Swing" was getting massive airplay and the band started to get more then a few bands. See, back then, I used to listen to the radio a lot and never looked really anything ...
Pros: Improved songwriting, lyrics, instrumentals, and successful experimentation with their sound. Cons: Seriously, there isn't much that comes to mind.
You know what? I don't think I've ever had more fun listening to a CD than I did when I bought Move Along by the All-American Rejects on a whim. This pop-punk quintet heralding from Texas just brightened my day. I actually enjoyed it so ...
Pros: Improved in just about every area, the two ballads are surprisingly excellent Cons: Closes on a weak note
When I was a senior in high school, The All American Rejects came out with a debut album that I could relate to near perfectly. I listened to the album throughout the summer, and the rest of 2003, and couldn't wait for a follow up. Unfortunately, early ...
Pros: Less teen/pop that "swing swing" Cons: Could still sound a bit too teen/pop for some
I bought this CD because every time I was ironing for work, the video for "Dirty little secret" was on TV and I could never get it out of my head. Here it is weeks later and I have all 12 tracks stuck in my brain now. The music just sticks.
This CD is so worth listening to because of the lyrics and musical style. The tracks are even ordered nicely so as to flow smoothly while listening. The disc ends with the lyric "I'll watch you go," It's great.
The All American Rejects. Should they just "Move Along"? by charli107 ,Sep 18 '05
Pros: The All American Rejects have finally come out with a new CD Cons: The songs seem hastily put together.
The All American Reject's new CD, Move Along, was a disappointment. I have been a die hard fan for the band, even before their self titled debut. The songs were very pop-like and even a little corny.
The lyrics can often be boring and slow and very few lines are even worth singing.
