Compared to a braun coffeemaker of the same price, this coffeemaker is awful. I bought it because my braun carafe broke and was hard to find a replacement, so I bought the first cheap coffeemaker I found. What a mistake. This one is big and bulky. The lid is large and I have to pull it out from under the cupboard to access the filter. It's messy. It does have a pause-and-drip mechanism but it's sloppy and drips all over. The water doesn't go through the filter evenly. The area above and behind the carafe gets dirty and is very hard to clean. I'm going to toss this one and buy another braun.

Pros: Makes coffee!
Cons: Design allows coffee to spill everywhere. Doesn't keep coffee very hot.

What a mess! Spills coffee all over on the first few cups. Basket drips all over when you remove it and coffee always falls on burner, counter, floor. This is a REAL example of letting an industrial designer make something that looks nice, but is not functional. Wasted money, even though it's cheap!
