Pros: Removable filter cup, easy to clean, "Pause 'N Serve" feature, durable. Cons: Sometimes you get 12 cups, sometimes you get 11 cups.
In this house, coffee is an essential and that means I depend on my coffee maker to perform without fail at least once a day. I own several coffee makers one that has a carafe, one that only makes 4 cups and one that I use for special ...
Pros: Easy to program, solid as a rock, can sneak coffee out while machine is brewing Cons: Brews a bit slowly, inconsistent water measurement
I make my living as a business news reporter and I've learned at least one thing about journalists over the years -- a newsroom with a constant supply of coffee is reliable. For about the past year, we've had this particular Mr. Coffee machine in our...
Pros: Cheap, no-frills unit Cons: Too "cheap". Coffee not HOT. Hard to open lid (too big)
I bought this at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago and am disappointed. First, I stayed away from Sunbeam since Ive found their products to be flimsy, so I get home and open the box, and what's printed on the bottom? "Made by Sunbeam".
Pros: It does make good coffee as a typical Mr. Coffee would. Cons: Coffee pot itself doesn't pour well. The basket also doesn't close properly.
I bought this Mr. Coffee after throwing away a Black and Decker whose on/off switch came apart after 9 months. I thought I couldn't go wrong with a basic Mr. Coffee but I was wrong. I lose half of my coffee as I am pouring it into my cup. This coffee...
Mr Coffee 12-Cup TF Series by aerangis2002 ,Mar 04 '04
Pros: The only good thing about this unit is the word "coffee". Cons: Pause 'n Serve feature doesn't work. Filter basket leaks after removing decanter. Drippy decanter.
Recently bought from Costco what I thought was the industry standard brand coffee maker and presumed it would be satisfactory for its basic intended purpose. Since I paid only $18 and change I knew not to expect too much from the unit - but how hard can it be to brew a simple cup of coffee?
The 'Pause 'n Serve' feature suffers from coffee incontinence. Contrary to the user manual I cannot remove the decanter in mid brew for a quick cup of coffee without coffee continuing to drip onto the hotplate.
Even after the brewing cycle is complete, removing the decanter causes coffee to drip from the filter holder section valve button which contacts the decanter lid.
And continuing in this leaky tradition even pouring a cup of coffee from the decanter results in coffee dripping onto the counter from what the user manual describes as a 'Drip Free Decanter'.
If this is an example of an American-engineered coffee maker, I'll think twice about purchasing another Mr Coffee branded item in the future.
