Pros: Great view of McKinley when the mountain is out Cons: Not near entrance to Denali National Park despite the name

A Royal Stay!

Pros: Fantastic views! Convenience and luxury abound. Cons: The pathways are a little steep for anyone that doesn't like to walk.
This was truly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Alaska. With excellent customer service no matter what part of the lodge you were visiting, it was a truly wonderful part of my Alaska vacation. The view of the mountain is incredible and they have built the entire lodge so that you can see the mountain. The accommodations were impeccable. The room had the usual amenities you would expect and was roomy and comfortable. You could spend several weeks in their rooms comfortably.Decorated rustic, yet elegant, inside and out. Decks and sitting areas abound, with lots of room to relax and wait for the mountain to come out or have a drink and visit. Shuttles in all directions. A luxury lodging. Everything you need is within walking distance. If you don't want to walk, they will shuttle you there! The dining experience was wonderful too. There were several choices of dining rooms, including a lovely restaurant in the lodge itself offering exquisite cuisine and dining experience. From the wine steward to the white table cloths, it was a class act.
