Pros: WORKS- nails grow fast, long, strong and healthy. Cons: GLOOP!
I have very weak nails. They tend to peel and split, and they grow very slowly, break easily and generally just bite. I have tried a number of products in the past and had always heard good things about Nailtiques, but hadn't bought it before, ...
Pros: True to package claim: improves soft, peeling, bitten, weak or thin nails Cons: High cost
I am nail-biter from way back. Actually, I started off as a thumb-sucker since before I can remember, then promoted myself to nail-biter when I was about 9 or 10. Luckily, I mustured up all of my will power and discipline and stopped chewing them when I ...
Pros: The stuff works!
Dries quickly.
Looks nice.
An easier, healthier, cheaper, better-looking alternative to acrylics. Cons: Expensive.
Gets gloopy too fast.
Peels easily after 2-3+ coats.
I have the world's softest fingernails and had given up on ever being able to grow them. And I'd been wearing artificial nails almost continuously for nearly 20 years, so I could have a nice-looking manicure. When the fake nails would come off between ...
Pros: Helps promote nail growth; is easy to apply. Cons: Costly. Top of bottle not made well.
I've always longed for those long, sleek nails that make you want to buy and wear rings but, alas, in addition to a general weakness and inability to grow such nails (maybe I move too quickly, smash into things, am careless), I developed psoriasis at one ...
I've used Nailtiques for years. It's the best product I've found for my nails. On bare nails it makes my nails look like they've had a manicure (especially when you use cuticle oil) and it dries instantly. To those who have experience the "goopiness" I do suggest the Formula Fix. I will admit it is a little pricey, but if you consider how much it costs for the maintenance of artificial nails or regular manicures, it's well worth the price. Also, I don't suggest going a full week with daily applications, try every other day for a week.
Pros: Easy to use, doesn't chip, great results! Cons: Expensive, but worth it!
I needed to grow long nails for my wedding manicure and I thought it would be impossible. I started using Nailtiques Formula 2 about 3 weeks ago and my nails have never been longer, stronger, or more beautiful! I cannot recommend this product enough! My nails are constantly in a state of peeling and never grow, but now I have super strong nails that have lasted! Only 2 more weeks to go before my wedding and I can't wait to show off my gorgeous, long nails! Thanks, Nailtiques!
Pros: Goes on easy, dries quickly, and works as advertised. Will buy again. Cons: Other than cost no others that I can see at the moment
I play both nylon and steel string guitar. My nails are important for getting the best sound out of the instrument. My nails were always breaking and grew slowly which is a problem to say the least.
I went to a Beauty supply store in LA and they recommended the Nailtiques Formula 2. I bought a quarter ounce bottle as a trial and used it as directed (yes it is expensive).
It truly does work. While trying to adjust a bifold door last night I caught the tip of the nail on my left hand ring finger and bent it back. Not only did it not break, it didn't even crack. I reapplied the polish and it doesn't look at though I ever did anything to the nail. In the past the tip would have at least have torn, if not broken off completely. I've only used it for a week so the growth rate is still open, but if they don't break they'll grow faster by default.
I would like to see them produce a version with a satin finish since I am a man. But the nail condition is more important than the image.
Excellent Product - the best I've ever found by katwilson ,Dec 16 '06
Pros: Lives up to every promise. Goes on easily, dries quickly, does not chip, is durable. Cons: no cons whatsoever.
I've been using Nailtiques Formula 2 for 6 weeks and my nails have never been in better shape. I used to be a nail-biter. My nails had ridges, were weak, brittle and constantly splitting. With Nailtiques, my nails now look fabulous with or without polish.
I followed the instructions meticulously. I didn't shake the product but turned it upside down and rolled it between my palms before using (to blend and eliminate air bubbles). I applied one coat a day for four consecutive days and then used Nailtiques non-acetone remover to remove those coats before beginning the subsequent 4-day sessions. After a month I was able to apply the polish every second day.
Only when the product was 3/4s used did it start to get a little thick so I bought the thinner for $8.95 (which is a fair deal as this will last for years, probably) and applied two drops. Instantly it thinned enough to be easy to use again.
I have nothing but good things to say about this product and I do think it's worth every penny. My nails are hard as rocks, smooth, and beautiful looking. Very easy to file and shape now.
Pros: Seems to work great as long as the polish is the original consistency. Cons: Less effective as product gets "goopy."
Nailtiques seems to work as long as the polish goes on nicely, which, as AnneCal said, is for about 1/2 or 2/3 of the bottle. I am so desperate to get help for my weak, peeling nails that I have bought many bottles of Nailtiques and also the formula that thins the polish out. (This stuff is also expensive.) They call it "Formula Fix." But after the Formula Fix goes in, it seems not to work as well. When I get a new bottle, my nails grow better and don't peel. I always find myself going back to this product.
I also found that after 2 or 3 applications, the polish just peels off in a big piece. I even called the company to get advice.
I work for a dermatologist and was advised to take "Appearex" (biotin pills) for my pathetic, peeling, paper thin, chipping nails. I did that for 6 months and NOTHING. I went online and researched nail products that were HIGHLY recommended. Nailtiques was the highest rated. I tried it.
I promise you that if you use it as directed you will see an incredible difference in your nails. I work in an all female office and EVERYONE noticed how long and beautiful my nails look. They no longer peel or chip or break off like they used to. They're longer than they've been in many years. Thank you Nailtique, you have at least 30 of us (my coworkers) using you.
