Pros: lots of FRESH seafood choices, great sides! fabulous Cuban cocktails! Cons: only around 8 non-seafood choices, other than salad, not many dessert choices
BACKGROUND
The original opened in May of 1999 in Westboro, Mass. Since then, 9 other locations have opened in and around the Boston area.
My experience is with the Waltham, MA location. I have been here MANY, MANY times and every...
Pros: Good food, decent portions, nice atmosphere Cons: Spotty service
With a name like Naked Fish, one would expect the restaurant to be a little bit different. It is. Seafood restaurants are quite common, especially in the New England area, but how about seafood with Cuban cuisine influence? That’s what we got when we...
Pros: Best fresh fish around Cons: It gets crowded. Call ahead or be patient.
Did you ever find a restaurant that you wanted to eat at every single day? I could honestly eat at The Naked Fish every single day because the food is so fresh and delicious. This is one restaurant that is going to (finally!) give the Legal Seafood...
Pros: Incredibly fresh fish, upbeat atmosphere, good prices. Cons: Can be noisy.
This is the motto of "Naked Fish" a new series of fish restaurants in the Greater Boston area which feature wood fired grilled fish, vegetables and other "goodies." This motto is strikingly similar to the "Legal Seafood"...
Pros: Perfectly-prepared fish, great side dishes and drinks. Cons: Can be crowded and noisy.
I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical the first time I walked into a Naked Fish restaurant. One, I don't usually like chain restaurants, and this one is part of a mini chain in the Boston area. Two, I wasn't sure if I bought into the "naked" idea. I'm a...
Pros: Unbelievably diverse menu to please ANYONE. Cons: NONE.
NAKED FISH - and that is just the beginning. It looks like a questionable place outside (strip joint). We happened upon it by accident in search of a place to get a quick lunch with the kids while enroute to Boston. I had my taste buds all...
Pros: fantastic grilled vegetables Cons: can be a wait
I'll tell you right away this isn't a review of Naked Fish's fish because I haven't had any. You may be wondering why I am reviewing the restaurant at all. But I feel like I can share a new angle (no pun intended) on this place -- as a vegetarian. I...
Pros: delicious, plenty of items on the menu, friendly service Cons: not cheap!
The Naked Fish Restaurant is GREAT!! Though a trip to Naked Fish might leave your wallet naked, it's worth the treat. Naked Fish is so named because their speciality is fresh fish dressed in nothing but a bit of olive oil and grilled to perfection. They...
Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff, good prices, lots of parking Cons: Music was a little loud for a relaxing lunch
My husband and I went to the Naked Fish in Hingham, Mass. (South Shore), on Labor Day 2000 for lunch. When we arrived, we had no idea what type of food the restaurant specialized in, but were ready to try something new. To our pleasant surprise, the food...
Pros: Great, fresh food and exciting Cuban drink menu Cons: A little costly and limited locations
It's been a while since every aspect of a dining experience was perfect. Not only was Naked Fish an excellent meal, but the menu, service and atmosphere were unique and enticing.
My visit was to the new Naked Fish location in Watertown,...
Pros: Great food and atmosphere Cons: Gets crowded
My girlfriend and I went to the Naked Fish in Waltham, a suburb of Boston. I assume that all the other Naked Fishes in the city are just as good as this one. First off we had to wait forty minutes to get a seat. But this wasn't bad since we got to hang...
Pros: Great food without the price Cons: It was loud, probably because it was a Friday night.
I was told that when I go to Boston, I have to try this place. So when my girlfriend and I went this past weekend, we decided to give it a try. I have to say that
I was glad we did. This was some of the best food that we have had for the price....
Pros: Lots of different seafoods at pretty good prices Cons: I don't live in Boston and can't eat there often
While in Boston visiting some friends lately, we visited the Naked Fish for dinner one night. I am not usually a seafood person but one of my friends had had lunch there several times and really loved it. I have to say I was really impressed with the...
Naked Fish - Billerica, MA by truthsayer2k5 ,Jul 15 '05
Pros: None. Cons: Questionable Customer Policies
I show up at Naked Fish by myself and expect the hostess to take my name, maybe have a 10 minute wait, and be served to a nice dinner. Fine.
Instead, the hostess informs me, "We don't serve parties of one in our dining room."
Huh?!?!
"You HAVE to eat in the Lounge."
Huh?!?!
Bewildered, I strolled into a crowded lounge with uncomfortable looking high tables with stools, and a crowed bar of drinking folks. I wasn't about to be discriminated against for my "single partiedness" nor be forced to eat in an ugly lounge which is not my scene. I walked out before I even sat down.
