Pros: Works right away .... for a quick tan ...
Cons: Comes off in water which can be good if you put too much on.

Summary: I love this tanner because you don't have to wait to see results! But there is definitely a couple tricks to application. First, after you shower, put some lotion on the parts of your body you are going to put the bronzer on. Any type of body lotion ... read more

Pros: If you don't let it dry well it may come off in the water.
Cons: A safe, fast way to tan all year long....

Summary: I used to love to lay in the sun. Not so anymore. I read too much!! I want to be safe but I don't want to give up that tan I sought after for all those years. I have used Neutrogena products for years and used the lotion tanner for a long time. I ... read more

    Pros: nothing...
Cons: Horrible smell, Washes off in water!

Summary: I have been feeling lately that even though it is winter, everyone has maintained some kind of a healthy looking color except me. Being unwilling to use a tanning bed, I decided to try some sunless tanner. I have done this before with other brands and ... read more

  • Its the best sunless tanner I have ever used

    Nov 11, 2006 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Nice color, no smell, very inexpensive, works very well
Cons: Can smear when sweating, stains collars

Summary: I used this product because my stylist recommended it to me. I went out and purchased it for around $9 which is very inexpensive for a good sunless tanner. Some of the other products I saw at the local store were around $20-35. My skin tone is ... read more

  • Good and bad

    Jul 24, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Does a great job on legs. The bronze color at first is absolutely gorgeous.
Cons: Leaves a drippy bronze puddle trail throughout your house. Buy a loofah to exfoliate streaks.

Summary: I am blindingly pale so when I found this product in the store and saw the word bronze on the packaging I decided to try it out. It cost me $11.00 but I've used the basic neutrogena foam tanner before and I thought it would be a good product--even worth ... read more

    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Great tanner
    Cons: Stains hands very quickly

Summary: This product is great. I think the reviews are a little outdated, but here's an update. I am paler than pale. I'm so pale, you can see my veins. So when summer started, I ran to the local store and bought 3 different kinds of self tanners. ... read more

  • fading like the sun...

    Jun 16, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Can see where you apply it
Cons: Fades VERY fast, takes awhile to apply

Summary: Since I am really pale, I've tried many self tanning products (heck, I'm still trying them!) but this was not my favorite. When I began putting it on, starting with my legs, it had a weird color, not the light tint I anticipated, but a pasty brown color, ... read more

    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: You can see where you are putting it, nice color
Cons: washes off with water, goes into hair follicles

Summary: I bought this product to get a glow before my graduation. So one day, I went to Wall Mart and bought it for $13.00. I thought because of its high price, it would be good. Also, I heard that foams were easy to use, and I trusted Neutrogena. When I got ... read more

Cons: the pesky bronzer and stained hands if not careful

Summary: I had never self-tanned before this product and I was pleased with the results I got the first day I went to school after applying it - people kept asking me if I went tanning, and were in disbelief when i told them it was from a self-tanner... that is, ... read more

  • Neutrogena bronzer and sunless tanner foam is NOT hypoallergenic

    May 19, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Looks okay when you remove the too deep bronzer.
Cons: Smells bad, can cause allergies to flair up.

Summary: I have fairly sensitive skin. I'm also very fair skinned and I avoid the sun because of skin cancer problems in my family. But let's be honest pasty white legs are just not very attractive in shorts and skirts, so the only logical thing to do is to get ... read more

  • Decent self-tanner, but doesn't stay on very long

    Jul 23, 2004 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: More natural looking tan than most.
    Cons: Inconsistent coverage from application

Summary: Let me begin by saying that I have been using the Neutrogena self-tanner for the face for several years now (this is my daily moisturizer and it gives me a little bit of color, especially on those mornings when I feel blah) and I love it. Because I try ... read more

    Pros: works well, cheap
    Cons: could last longer

Summary: my skin is naturally VERY pale (my partner has often called me 'the ghost') but before trying this product I had not found any good way to tan. tanning outside and in tanning beds seemed too risky and getting air-brush tanning at the salon was far too ... read more

  • The Safe, Natural-Looking Alternative

Pros: Very easy to apply, natural looking
Cons: More than one application needed for a longer lasting tan.

  • Pretty good, once you learn its secret!

    Apr 14, 2004 by

Pros: gives an instant brown tan, you can see where you apply, even results (if careful)
Cons: bad smell, the instant tan rubs off and clogs pores, pretty sticky with clothes on

Summary: After reading the other reviews, you probably ask yourself “Why the heck did she give this product a 4* rating?”. Well, it is a very difficult review to make, mostly because my first impression was very bad, but now, after one year of shelf life in my ... read more

  • Dries to fast to allow spreading

    Mar 22, 2004 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Isn't orangey at all, gives a great color
Cons: Almost impossible not to get bad streaking

Summary: Well, you'd think the bronze color would allow you to spread and avoid streaks.. I did the whole thing, showered, shaved, exfoliated, dried, etc. and begin applying tanning lotion. I noticed really quick that using a small amount (say enough to cover ... read more
