cleans off dead skin patches, blackheads, gentle cleansing, gets down into pores.
Cons: availability, some may not think there's enough soap foam with it, not the best ingredients.
I occasionally have a patch of dry skin pop up every now and then. I really needed something to ‘buff' away dead skin and those dry patches. Then, I discovered a really good coupon for $5 off Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser and Pads so I decided to ...
Pros: Gentle for everyday use Really does smooth out skin Unclogs pores Seems sturdy Cons: Cleanser not as refreshing or tingling as advertised Not much lather in cleanser
Does the Neutrogena Wave facial system live up to its promises? I tested The Wave for three weeks and came to my own conclusions about this vibrating cleaner for the face. Here's the scoop (no VANs or surfboard required!)Hey good ...
Pros: colors, price, vibrations, battery operated, cleanser strength, ability to fit in hand, water resistant Cons: price of extra pads, availability of colors
I received the Neutrogena Wave Facial System for my birthday, and was very excited to start using it. The first time in the shower, it felt great. The vibrations, water resistant, the different colors and price, the ability to fit in my hand and the ...
Pros: A quick, effective addition to your skin-care routine Cons: Smallish buffing surface
I've been using the Neutrogena Wave for about a month now and am very happy with the results. I have very sensitive skin, prone to breakouts, and so far neither the cleanser nor the buffing action of the device have caused any irritation. The Wave ...
Pros: effective, easy-to-use Cons: refills are expensive, cleanser is drying
The Neutrogena Wave does a decent job of facial cleansing, at least compared to the many products I've tried. The device itself is water-resistant, shower-ready and easy to use. The cleansing pads are basically circles of white felt onto which has been ...
Pros: Makes your skin soft, easy to use, waterproof Cons: expensive, doesn't clear up face, not much soap on pads
I bought this because my cousin told me that it had cleared up her face and she loved it. I went to walmart and got it for about $12. Way to much for a vibrater....anyway, I went home and put it together. You know how on those commericials, the pad is covered in soap? It aint like that! There was hardly any soap. I was basicly washing my face with water. I was very disapointed. The only thing it promised was true, was the softer skin.
Pros: Price Cons: Dries out your face, vibrating is for show, thin pad, minimal soap.
I bought the wave because another facial scrubbing item was currently sold out. I was going to give this one a try using at least the first pack of scrubbing pads. After the first use I was not impressed. The pad is so thin, there was barely enough soap which I had to press many times on it just get some bubbles. I wish the pad was thicker to get around corners of my face. Even though it vibrated I felt like I was doing all the work. I decided to use it a few more days to see how my face would look. At the end of five days my face did not look cleaner, clearer or fresher. It actually dried out my face and made lines appear that weren't there. My pores looked terrible. It did nothing for my acne adult acne. I ended up returning it back to the store. (I always keep my receipts!)
A major gimmick. Don't buy it by kmoneyyy ,Jul 26 '08
Pros: Price... only price Cons: Doesn't work, can't get around nose and jaw, gimmicky
I'm going to start this by saying that minor vibration has no proof of cleaning "10x deeper than conventional cleaning products". It's the same gimmick that everything else uses, vibrating razors, toothbrushes, electric toothpicks. They're all equally ineffective.
Neutrogena makes good good products, I'll admit that. But this product is just weak. I thought the pad was going to be an exfoliating pad but it's just a smooth pad that doesn't even scrub. So if you were to use this thing, dry off, and wipe your face with a wet paper towel you would still find dirt. Also, if the pad is a little off center, the plastic underneath that holds it will scratch your face, a lot. It's got a flat surface, it's not made for the curves of your face like your around your nose.
Overall, it has a good price to lure you in so that you don't throw a fit when you find out how ineffective it is. You're better off buying any scrubbing pad or a cotton buff pad for use by hand.
Pros: Long battery life, fits into hand, doesn't dry out the skin Cons: Gives you tiny white bumps, $30 a month, made acne worse
I bought the wave two weeks ago hoping it would get rid of my acne or at least reduce breakouts and make my skin brighter, but unfortunately buying the Wave was a waste of my money and time. If I were you I would save my money because I've tried many things that work better than the Wave. And I don't know if this was an allergic reaction, but it gave me tiny white bumps on my skin, especially on my checks. It also made my blemishes brighter and bigger, so you can notice them more than before. Although, I did like that it was fast and easy so it didn't take as much time as my regular routine. I hope the Neutrogena Wave works for you because it definately didn't work for me. I'm going back to my old treatments!
Neutrogena Wave (great buy!) by ilovetodance ,Jul 08 '08
Pros: Quiet, and great level of vibration, and immediate smoothness. Cons: Not a small corner to get to small areas.
I purchased the Neutrogena Wave, and I felt instant results, smoother as ever. I have zits under my skin, and the product has seemed to smooth them out. What I love about this, is that the vibrations are perfect to get under my pores, and make my face have that warm, tingly feeling. I don't really like the fact that you have to get refills for pads that only last.....maybe 2 weeks. (That is, if you use it ONCE daily.)
I'm very happy with my results, and it has caused no irritation at all, so I totally recommend it if you want a cleaner, smoother face.
does not clear skin after just one use by shelly112245 ,Jun 17 '08
Pros: works very well, gentle, vibrations are not too strong, and you get results Cons: a little expensive, but it works
although, this product does show noticeable results after a few days. I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. For a while i was using a facial loofah with standard face wash, and my face was getting worse. So I thought id give it a try, and after using the first seven pads I see my face is glowing, less oily, fewer black heads. I have also noticed moving in slower circular motions, and pressing down a little harder removes much more oil. Which keeps the oil off of my face for a good portion of the day! Its also gentle enough to use twice a day if you want, but I would not recommend it due to the price. These past few days I have felt so confident about my face, that I do not even bother putting on face make up. I put my mascara on and I am out the door!
