Pros: Off Network Direct Connect (considering Nextel never has service to make a real call) Cons: Service, Phone choice, price, weight + size, Early Termination Fee is extremely high ($200)
You will hear mixed reviews about Nextel but this is what my experience was like ... lucky for us :( Service / Coverage --- We started out with Nextel 2-3 years ago because everybody we knew had it and loved it. The buying experience was great, ...

I don't have service in my own HOME!!!
by kro1016 ,Jul 16 '07
Pros: Good Marketing I guess, because they got me.lol
Maybe, Customer Service. Cons: TOO expensive.
BAD service.
What more is there to say?
Probably the biggest investment mistake I've made. But, yet again I'm only 19, who knows how many more I'll be making in my life. :D But, service "sucks", like my title says "I don't have service in my own HOME!!!". Not only that, but I have a "$49.99" monthly plan with no extra features or anything and my bill has never arrived any lower than $65.00, if that. And no, I don't exceed my 300 anytime minutes, my free incoming calls (from any service),or my unlimited free nights and weekends, but who does??? lol. Overall, I would say I'm very disappointed and would not recommend it to anyone, unless you're a business, or you really really like a phone they have, which is exactly what happened to me.lol. Learn from my mistakes, don't do it.

Sprint/Nextel is the worst!
by fmfmfm ,May 10 '07
Pros: NONE Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST
The worst thing about nextel, beside the fact that the coverage is horrible (in my area) is that they will not allow you to adjust your plan to suit your needs - without extending your contract. Back to the horrible service for a moment... So since I keep getting my calls dropped, naturally I call the person I was talking to back. This, in turn, increases minutes used and ultimately drives up your bill. My account contract is for $142.43; however, this month I was charged $451.00 due to overages, which were due to my constant 'calling back.'
Ponit is... if you have a business like me, or even if you are calling friends and family who expect you to return calls that were dropped because of your lousy cell service - DO NOT USE NEXTEL!
