Pros: Gee, I got a new phone!
Cons: My phone bill went up $30. For charges I didn't know about. Caveat Emptor!
My contract expired in Oct of 2007. I thought about changing services, but figured Nextel/Sprint, regardless of their quirks, wasn't too bad.
I had to get a new phone as my i60 no longer made outgoing calls (the button died). Upgrading my phone should be relatively cheap, right.
WRONG!
I bought my new phone through the Sprint Store in Altamonte Springs (the old Direct Wireless store by Walmart) I got a Sanyo SCP3200, because the Nextel flip phones are cheap looking and feeling, unless you want to spend a couple hundred dollars for the big, bulky flip.
1) You don't get your rebate on the spot. Paperwork had to be filled out and sent in to get the additional $50 off.
2) They didn't tell me about the $12 charge to get my phone delivered to their store (they didn't have the model I wanted)
3) I was surprised to see charge of $19.26 for a handset upgrade fee. Upon calling, I was told that's the charge for "upgrading my handset".
huh.
So, I'm not a happy camper right now.
