Not for amateurs!

by tristanabbott , Apr 17 '04
Pros: Light, comfortable, flashy and the edge of soccer shoe science.
Cons: Relatively expensive and difficult for young kids and inexperienced players to get used to.
The Mercurial range has to be one of the most popular that Nike have introduced over the last five years. Having worn them and played in them for the last 6 months I can certainly say that they feel very unique in a number of ways. Firstly, the weight ...

The Speed Of A Mercurial

by balgownie , May 20 '02
Pros: Light, Nice Leather, Excellent Outsole, Comfortable, Durable, Texture.
Cons: None That I Can Think Of.
Along with Brazil and Internazionale' Milan soccer star, Ronaldo, Nike have come up with a cleat that deserves Ronaldo's level of satisfaction... The Nike Mercurial 2 SG, or some people call it the R9 for short.
If you are quite a slow runner and...

It’s not a want, simply a necessity

by Acarian , Jun 29 '01
Pros: good traction, stud placement, performance, durability.
Cons: Steep price, toe wear.
The Nike Mercurial 2 SG Replaceable can be described as one of those soccer shoes that every soccer player needs to be guaranteed top performance in a soccer cleat. Many factors matter when deciding what kind of soccer cleat is appropriate for you....

The Nike Mercurial: Soccer player's best friend

by xxbeepsxx , Mar 05 '01
Pros: Lightweight, water resistant, great traction, durable, 1st touch coating, sharp looking, comfortable
Cons: A little steep in price, but definitely worth it!!
This is the perfect shoe for those narrow-footed players. Lightweight and durable, providing easy maneuver and sharp cutting, and most important, long-lasting. They lasted me three full years! don't let people tell you they fall apart, that's just...

The Irreplaceable Replaceable

by superfly , Oct 01 '99
Pros: light, supportive, great touch, great traction
Cons: expensive, longer break-in,
I have just begun wearing this shoe, and several teammates of mine have been wearing it for some time now. Make no mistake about it, the Mercurial 2 SG is a very serious pair of shoes.

With a six-stud injection molded aluminum tipped...

The Best Cleats on the Market!

by chimpndale99 , Jan 26 '00
Pros: great traction, light shoes, very durable
Cons: high price
Although these cleats carry a hefty price tag, i feel they are worth the money in every way. These shoes are so comfortable and you feel light as a feather as you are running on them. They have great traction and are very forgiving as far as stopping and...

Perfection!!

by foleyandy , Jan 10 '03
Pros: lightweight, combined leathers, six stud/blade cross
Cons: they don't make them anymore!
Simply put, these are the best boots you will ever put your feet into.

You don't even feel like you are wearing anything on your feet when you've got them on just because they are so ridiculously light!! The combined leathers that Nike have...

by L8iebugg6 , Jun 28 '00
Pros: Light on your feet, Attractive, Comfortable
Cons: Price is a little high!
I originally purchased this gear because it was so attractive. Little did I know, I would be buying a great cleat performance wise also! I love the look, and feel of the cleat. They are light on your feet, and extremely comfortable! I don't like the fact...

They don't make em' like they used to

by samborambo , Jul 07 '03
Pros: Lightweight, great touch and traction. A thoroughly wonderful boot.
Cons: I can't find them anywhere anymore.
These boots were just perfect. I have wide feet, and had been told that these boots would be troublesome because of this, but in fact I found them very comfortable after the initial break in period. The toe area is not very deep, so your foot stays...

Careful they rip your heels
by walrus28if ,Sep 04 '05
Pros: Light
Cons: Rip up your heels if there is ANY imperfection to the fit
Three girls on my daughters soccer team bought these cleats and are unable to continue to wear them due to blisters on their heels. Per the store they bought them from the Nike Vapors will rip up your heels unless they have a perfect fit. I'd go the safer route with kangaroo leather. I have also noticed that the prices for these cleats have dropped down to about $110. They are great and light but be careful
