Pros: Responsive cushioning, great durability, smooth looks Cons: Not for everyone, unfortunately
No, the shoe doesn't do that. When this shoe first came out in January 2001, everyone saw the commercials that had multiple runners "boinging" their way on and off the screen. But of course, this was just the ad. No one in their right mind would ...

Pros: Provides great stability and a comfortable ride Cons: Cushioning a little on a stiff side, although it's a minor complaint
Nike Shox R4 is the shoe that started a second revolution for Nike. Even though the shoe was introduced in 2002 the technology today is still not outdated. I originally purchased the shoes to replace Air Max 97's, the 97's were one of my favorite ...

Pros: Looks sharp, great cross trainer Cons: Heavy, not durable for $100 dollar shoes, NOT good for running
I originally purchased this shoe for cross training and wearing them to the gym. I partially purchased them because they looked cool also. For the purposes I intended for them they were great. But to go as far as to call this a “running” shoe is not ...

Nike Shox NZ
by isaac007 ,Jul 07 '05
Pros: light weight, comfortable, inspired me to keep running Cons: shox are a little ugly
I am reviewing the Nike Shox NZ. They are very similar to the R4 in that they have the shox in only the heel. They are slightly different in appearance. Mine are all white.
These shoes are extremely light weight and comfortable to run in. I don't know if the shox actually do anything or not, but the shoes are comfortable to me while working out or running. I almost wish the shoe performed the same way though without the shox in the heel. The shoe could probably look even better without the shox.
I tried putting in some aftermarket shoe soles, but this only decreased the comfort of the shoes. It felt as if the arch was higher in one of the shoes. This went away when I took out the aftermarket soles.
I noticed after my first couple of runs that I was motivated to keep going, as my feet felt well cushioned and unfatigued. 100% better than my beat-up old New Balances.
