Pros: Great responsive cushioning. Cons: none noted
If youre working out in a pair of no name cheapies that read, "ike" and the swoosh insignia looks like it has been tacked on with crazy glue, you could be making a huge mistake. Wearing the wrong athletic shoe can make for a quick retreat ...
Pros: Light,Soft,Pillowlike,Comfortable Cons: Dont make you jump 15 feet high
I always wanted to try shox for hockey training but i was into a few pairs of acis when i decided to give them a try.If you know me i have 20+ pairs of shoes all rather expensive and im somewhat of a collecter,i dont belive i wore the same pair ...
Pros: Incredible, responsive cushioning, great traction, durability of Shox columns Cons: Not for every runner, radical look (which I love)
Now, you probably are looking at this shoe and saying, "This is seriously bugged out!" by the way it looks. This is the first Nike running shoe to put full-length Shox in the midsole and boy, does it perform. Let's wander to the upper, which is ...
Pros: Comfortable, great looks. Cons: Expensive. Some really bad colors.
This is one of the most interesting shoes I have ever seen. Let me first start by saying that I am not an avid runner. I run my 5 k every other day and I finish within 20-25 minutes, so I am no where near a great runner. I have worn Nike running shoes ...
Pros: Cool as F***
Ultra-comfy
Amazing cushioning (good for Osgood-Schlatter's sufferers) Cons: So many fakes on eBay
Can be expensive
Eventually they will wear out! :-(
I'm just gonna get straight to the point, no polymer classification to be found here. Please bear in mind this is a review for the NIKE SHOX TL2, the SECOND TOTAL SHOX RUNNING SHOE FROM NIKE. - Look - Anyone with half a brain can tell these shoes ...
Pros: They look great at barbeques Cons: Less bounce for the ounce than conventional Shox
I have been wearing Shox technology based running shoes since Nike first brought it out some years ago. I have seen some of the early problems with sole breakage come and go, but I stuck with the concept because it provided me with the one thing my ...
A great solution for plantar fasciitis by magoo13 ,Jul 24 '06
Pros: Huge shock absorption
Totally comfortable Cons: Do tend to wear quickly
I've been wearing Shox now (different models, but now running with the TL) for 2 years. I had really bad plantars from a heavy marathon schedule. The Shox design has totally helped me heal..lots of absorption in the right spots and enough arch support to keep you going. It may not work for everyone, but this is a great shoe to try if you have nagging plantar fasciitis.
Comfort yes, durability no. by xnightcrawl ,Jun 24 '05
Pros: Very comfortable and great for people with bad knees. Cons: Worn out after eight months of running four to five times a week.
I've had this shoe for a little over a year. I've been fairly consistent with running four to five times a week. It was great the first eight months, but it wore out after eight months.
Smooth Ride, Lacks Durability by zitorules75 ,Jul 18 '05
Pros: Great cushioning, excellent arch support Cons: Poor Durability. Pricey.
These shoes offer a very smooth ride. Although not considered a stability shoe, the internal construction of the TL2 offers excellent arch support - although I have chronic knee problems and flat feet, I did not experience any knee/ankle pain while running in these, and do not need to wear them with my customary orthotic inserts.
The only beef I have is that these shoes wear out FAST. I go through a pair every three months (I average 50 miles a week, and I am on my third pair of TL2s). Because of the way they are designed, once you wear these out, you cannot even wear then for walking. They fall apart completely.
Yet, I continue to buy these shoes, as they seem to be doing a good job of keeping my knees and ankles healthy.
Warranty is worthless on the kids' shox by ncyue ,Oct 03 '05
Pros: expensive shoes with wow factor Cons: shox don't last and are not worth it
We bought these >$100 shoes since the guarantee was "lifetime". The shocks wore out within 6 months, a much shorter lifespan then other kid's shoes that we have had. When we went them in to be fixed, we got a letter back stating that since the product was free of a manufacturing or materials problem, they would not fix it or replace it. Never again.
Pros: Comfortable; Running in them feels like the stress on knees and ankles is lessened Cons: Bottoms fell apart. Poor or cheap construction.
I don't want to say that I hate the shoe, but i've only had them for a little over a year, and the bottoms are just peeling right off...I don't even run on them that often, as I had intended. I would expect them to stay together a little longer if I'm mostly using them to press the gas pedal or when I'm walking. The rubber bottom is super thin and glued on poorly. Overall, for a running sneaker that costs up and around 80 dollars, I would expect them to last a few years.
Pros: Extremely soft, very light Cons: Wore out in three months, wreaked havoc on my gait.
for the money, I think next time I'll buy a hooker and a baseball bat. At least I'll enjoy watching her beat me in the knees and hips, which is where the pain arose from running in these shoes for just three months. Due to pronation, the rear outer quarter of the shoe completely wore off, leaving them useless as even walking shoes for my depends-wearing grandpa. I mean, can you imagine him toppling over sideways, who's going to clean up the waistband spillage?
Beware the Nike Shox for Kids by nancyeppes ,Apr 24 '08
Pros: The shoe was very comfortable. It gave my son a lot of spring to his step. Cons: The shoe is poorly constructed and falls apart after one month of wear.
For the first month this shoe was awesome. My 7 year old son enjoyed wearing the shoe .It had great cushion impact. But about a month into wear, the heel on one side came slightly unglued. After stepping into a mud puddle we washed the shoes. The shoe became unglued at the toe.The company refused to take the shoe back because it had been washed. Who buys shoes for children and doesn't count on having to wash them at least once? I felt the workmanship of this shoe too shoddy for the money.
