Pros: Soft, airy cotton, easy velcro Cons: cost, where you buy
When my daughter was 13 months old, we decided to switch from disposable diapers to cloth. We chose a diaper service, so all we had to buy was covers. I knew few people who used cloth diapers and many of them washed their own, so they went for...
Pros: Wool cover "breathes" well, very durable, stays on & fits most kids. Cons: May leak around legs on thinner kids. Wool covers require a few laundering adjustments.
Wool Nikkys worked great on my average-build toddler, keeping his bed dry at night and his bottom rash free. We used them daily yet they lasted to pass along to my next child. You can use one cover multiple times each day if you "rotate" it, and just...
Pros: Soft, breathable, dry quickly after washing, great for sensitive skin! Cons: Hard to find
I haven't had to purchase any Nikkys because several were given to me by a friend. However, I plan to purchase a few more. I like the way they allow my son's sensitive skin to breathe. Nikkys are less bulky than other diaper covers. I like the...
Pros: Soft, breathable, non-scratchy Cons: have to wash separately, expensive
I've tried several covers and Nikkys are my favorite. I've been using them for over a year and have never had a leak, even overnight, or a stain that didn't come out in the sun. We have used 100 percent cotton and breathable polyester. I'd use the wool,...
Pros: 100% cotton, trim-fit, silky smooth, so soft, light, breathable Cons: special care for washing, expensive, velcro can snag on clothing
I started using Nikky's 100% all cotton covers somewhat by accident. The company that I had ordered my all-in-one diapers from did not have my orders in stock in newborn size and my baby was here so I needed something now! Nikky covers were my third...
Pros: Soft, breathable cotton cover for comfy fit; great velcro tabs that don't irritate baby! Cons: Loses waterproof quality over time, pricey.
I have been cloth diapering my daughter for a year now, and have really gotten into the joys of sampling different covers and diapers! I heard many great things about Nikky covers so I was eager to try them out. For the most part, I have been very...
Pros: Waterproof without plastic touching skin. Smaller sizes work well. Cons: Expensive, legs leak, velcro in tabs too short. Don't fit over thick diapers.
I had been using Nikkys since my first son was born and they worked great. We used wool, cotton and poly covers.
As he got older and more mobile they tended to slouch. Plus, as he grew he became a heavy wetter and we needed thicker, more...
Pros: Trim fit Cons: Leak always, velcro scratches baby's thighs!
I had decided before my baby was born that I would use cloth diapers, but I knew that I didn't want to use the old-fashioned pinned diapers with crinkly vinyl covers. When I found the Nikky covers (and the diapers that go with them) in the Natural Baby...
Pros: Good fit, soft fabric Cons: Not waterproof = useless
I can't afford to by an entire stash of diaper covers new, so I buy a lot of used covers. This set of four small 100% cotton Nikky wraps came from eBay. They had been used for only one baby and had been washed according to Nikky's instructions. (Of ...
I bought four of these covers in very competitive bidding on eBay. What a mistake! The seller (and others) raved about how soft and waterproof these covers are and said that the retail was $15-18 each.
As a new, first time mom and first time cloth diaper user,I was unsure where to begin in ordering cloth diapering supplies. I reviewed numerous catalogs, but made the mistake of not interviewing any real people about them. I bought half a dozen nikkys in...
Pros: -excellent fit
-easy velcro
-very durable
-diaper fully contained within cover even w/mobile child
Cons: -polyester causes chafing on thighs of mobile baby.
-polyester absorbs some of the urine
We were looking for a good diaper cover and came across this one online. We were using Bumkins but started having trouble with them once our child become mobile. The diaper kept slipping out at the hips and thus a leak would occur with the Bumkins. Thought we'd try the Nikky's. These seem to be better constructed and there is no diaper slipage, however, we'd rather have leaks than chafing so we are looking again for another solution.
Polyester Nikky Diaper Cover Lightweight Diaper Cover in the same functional design and quality as our Cotton and Wool Nikkys, but at a more affordable price. Lighter in weight th...
