Pros: Bright & sharp, lightweight, rugged Cons: None
I purchased these binoculars because of past experience with Nikon digital cameras. My experience with binoculars before these were always with cheap models by other manufacturers. I always complained it was hard to see through them and I had to close...

Great Value
by galandale ,Jan 23 '05
Pros: Great Value; Excellent customer service Cons: vulnerable to harsh conditions and abuse
I have not owned the Travelite V, but have owned the Travelite III 9x25 (not sure of difference between the III and V). In my opinion, you cannot get better optics for the price. I have recommended them to several other people who were looking for good, affordable compacts optics for the outdoors. Nikon has an excellent warranty and I known of two instances where they were returned for for damage repair and their service was superior.

Nikon Tavelite V (8x25)
by ggrutle ,Jun 17 '04
Pros: Excellent optics
Precise focusing
Solid diopter adjuster
Very light weight and appear to be rugged Cons: Non.... For me I have found the perfect binocular and I could afford them!!!
These are great binoculars"." They are very bright for 25mm and the image is crisp. The body is carbon fibre so it is a tough feather-weight. Focusing is extremely precise and the diopter adjuster has click stops so it stays properly adjusted. The body shape is great and I find them quite easy to hold steady.
I have several pair of full size binoculars.... Pentax 7x50, Pentax 16x50, Tasco 7-15x35 and pair of B&L legacy 8x25's which have great optics (BaK4 and fully multicoated) but are a pain to focus.
The Nikon Travelites are the ones that will get used. The others will probably be sold.
