Pros: Like the great Nikon D80 but incrementally better in many areas. Cons: Video mode is a little buggy and requires manual focus.
Summary: UPDATE 11/26/2009: I've owned this camera for over a year now, and I can only say that I'm still thrilled by it. My friend recently told me that I took the best photos at his wedding among the many people there with all sorts of high-powered digital ... read more

Pros: The picture quality is great and the additional settings make this a great camera. Cons: I am going forward with the D90. Can't wait for my next photo shoot.
Summary: This is a fantastic camera. After shooting film for 50 years, I have switched to digital. Even for an old so-and-so like me, this camera was fairly easy to learn how to use and yielded some excellent images on the first photo shoot. The zoom lens was ... read more

Pros: The D90 takes 5.5 pictures per second. The rechargable battery seems to last forever. Cons: You should purchase a hot foot nikon flash. Low light situations affect camera speed.
Summary: I purchased my D90 about 6 months ago and have taken several thousand pictures with it so far. It is easy to use, especially in "auto" mode. The buttons are intuitive and with only a short amount of time reading the owners manual you ... read more

Pros: D90 adds a faster face detection to its Live View, Continuous shooting 4fps Cons: The lens seems just slightly less sharp than the kit lenses from Canon
Summary: I really enjoy shooting with this camera; it's comfortable to hold, and the control layout and navigation should be immediately recognizable to anyone who's shot with a Nikon dSLR recently. If you're making the switch from another brand, there might be a ... read more

Pros: Excellent camera that still has some auto features Cons: Expensive
Summary: My wife and I bought a Nikon D70 as our first "real" transition away from film (and we haven't looked back). We still love the camera and pull it out for all the holidays but I noticed that we didn't use it as much as we thought. When our friend's ... read more

Pros: Video mode, dynamic focus, D-lighting, sensor cleaner Cons: tendency to over expose slightly
Summary: I just picked the kit up this month. First, let me say that I sold the kit lens because I already have other Nikon Lenses. This review is about the camera, not the lens. For the record, the lens I use most often is a Nikkor 18-200 VR.Anyway, ... read more

Pros: Many features, Quick shoot feature, automatic or manual focus. Cons: A little high priced, but most SLR cameras are. This one is well worth it.
Summary: I must say this is the best camera I have ever owned! The quality is second to none. It has many features that have been fine tuned from the previous model. There is alot of bells a whistles on this camera that take some reading to learn how to use them

Pros: Great battery. Accepts SD cards and works well with them. Quite acceptable lens. Cons: High cost considering it is not pro level. Too many useless menu options.
Summary: If you are tired of the limits of the snapshot digital cameras but not willing to put out thousands of dollars for a pro set, this is a great choice. With the kit lens this gives you a wide variety of apeture stops, shutter speeds and exposure
