Pros: Replay Value, Graphics, And All of The Little Extras Cons: I Really Don't Know
The original Smash Bros. game on the Nintendo 64 introduced to the world a new type of fighting game, and despite it's cutesy graphics, toned down sound effects, and it's not quite decent single player mode it was a fun game, but mainly just the...
:~INTRO~: Back in the days of the Nintendo 64 there weren’t all that many great titles to grace the console. Most of the better titles had to do with one of Nintendo’s characters Super Smash Brothers was know exception have a ...
Pros: Graphics. Old school goodness. Cons: Gameplay. Frustration.
"Nintendo fanatics stand on their 6x6 soapbox holding Super Smash Bros. Melee high into the air, proclaiming greatness. Lured in by the hype, I pulled a no-holds-barred type review and testing."
Pros: Everything good about Super Smash Bros, but ten times better Cons: Cutesiness could turn people away from the great fighting game inside
Back in days of yore (also known as 1999), Nintendo took all their flagship characters, put them all in a ring, and let them at one another. They called it Super Smash Bros., and it was an instant hit. (Pun intended.) So, what better way to usher in...
Pros: Vastly expanded play, new characters, excellent sound Cons: Too many 'duplicate' characters, throws are defanged
While the system struggled overall, one of the N64's clear winners was the original "Super Smash Brothers." Finally allowing people to test their theories on which Nintendo character was superior, it also showed that Nintendo was willing to do the kind...
SUPER SMASH BROS. Melee (Nintendo/Hal, December 2001) This is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Nintendo 64 action fighter Super Smash Brothers, and it's still the fun and crazy fighter that most of us all know and love, but now the ...
Once upon a time, there were a couple of fellows by the name of Mario and Luigi, who thought of an idea. “How about we get a whole bunch of our friends together and have little fighting matches, Mario?”, Luigi said. “Momma mia! What a good idea...
Two Fridays I bought by gamecube (or what I call a Nintendo lunch box). Any way's I went down to the video store to see what more they had to offer other then Super Mario Sunshine which came with my gamecube. I own the

THE BASIC BEEF
Choose Your Character! Nintendo has made a sequel to the super-awesome Super Smash Bros for the N64 and it’s a complete success. This time, you have a choice of more characters; a lot more characters. In fact you start off with 14 of...
For years, and years, people throughout the world pondered one simple question: If Mario faced off against Link, who would prevail? This question would be answered, in a sense in 1999, when Nintendo placed 8 of it's top game characters to face off in ...
Pros: A lot more features than the old game, characters, levels Cons: Graphics are pretty much the same as the original
If you own a Gamecube, you probably own Super Smash Brothers: Melee or at least heard of it. It was one of the most anticipated pre-release Gamecube titles and is one of the hottest selling Gamecube titles out right now. SSB: M is a sequel of the...
Pros: Awesome graphics and sound; lots of fun; tons of modes, features, and secrets; endless replayability. Cons: Cheap computer characters; 15-minute melee is a chore.
Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 was released in April of 1999 and started a fighting game revolution. Was it because of the premise of beating up cute Nintendo characters, was it because of the easy to learn but hard to master control scheme, or...
Pros: Enhanced version of a game we already love. Cons: Those who didn't like the first one won't find this one any better.
You know when a game is in high demand when you go to the local Blockbuster and notice that all the copies of it have been rented out. And you know that there's usually a reason that they are in such high demand. Usually. Well Super Smash Bros....
Yesterday was my birthday (Happy Birthday To The Jiggymeister!), and I got a Gamecube. One of the games I got with it was SSBM and I love it! There is so much to do in it and so many trophies to get. I have been playing (I’ve timed myself) the game for 6...
Pros: Great smashing fun, large variety of weapons and characters, Fun! Fun! Fun! Cons: Somewhat bland stage detail, musics a little quiet too
Ok so I'm a little late for a super smash review, but the thought of not rating this game day after day has haunted me enough. Super Smash being one of the first titles on the NIntendo Gamecube, is still one of the best ones yet. Story There really ...
Pros: fun fighting, trophies, multiplayer, nintendo characters, sound, graphics, replay value, unlockables, extras, and more Cons: slightly repetitive, although you'll be having too much fun to notice
I have been wanting to write this review for a while, as it is still the best game on the gamecube. Period. Intro Can Mario deck Donkey Kong? Can Sheik kick Bowser's butt? Who's better: Falco or Fox? That's what everyone wanted to know. In ...
Pros: Graphics, gameplay, there is no end to the flava flava! AYE CARUMBA! Cons: Steep learning curve... FOR THE FLAVA FLAVA!
An announcement must be made, I have been absent in the massive crowd of videogame reviews for quite a while, so now instead of reviewing a product from an older system, I think it’s time to review something from Nintendo’s scrumptious little...
Pros: Lots of modes and characters, first-string multiplayer fun, vastly improved 1-player modes, trophies, items. Cons: Gameplay doesn't vary much from original Smash Bros., slightly stiff control.
With it's fun, intense, and somewhat charming gameplay, the original Super Smash Bros. (SSB) was lauded as one of the best N64 games ever. However, many criticized SSB on it's incredibly shallow one player mode and its cutesy image. Melee does...
Pros: Fast and chaotic multiplayer fighting goodness. Cons: Single player modes still get boring quick.
BOOM POW CRASH ZAP! These are the sights and sounds of Super Smash Brothers Melee. Everything looks and sounds bright, fast, loud, and chaotic. Playing the game is like a frantic scramble for survival with a rapidly approaching death sequence in the near...
Pros: Great graphics, music, gameplay, secrets... Cons: ...why are you reading the cons for this game?
To think that I have been a member of Epinions.com for almost mostly as a video games critic, and that I have yet to even review one of the Gamecubes true marvels, Super Smash Brothers Melee. The game is a sequel to its N64 little sister, Super...
Pros: Great multiplayer, tons of modes, lots to unlock Cons: Annoying computer AI, really, really annoying.

How Good Is Melee?
I was interested very early on in Super Smash Bros. Melee. For some reason, Nintendo released this game in early December, rather than mid-November, when it would have coincided with the...
Pros: Lots of characters, great fighting game, extremely fun Cons: A lot like the N64 version
First off, I'd like to say, just because it has Picachu on the front, this is not a game just for kids. In fact, if you have never heard of Super Smash Brothers, the first thing you'll need to know is it's a fighting game. It's a 2d movement 3d fighting...
This game blows all other fighting games out of the water. You take all of the best and most well know Nintendo characters and put them in the ring in a fight to the death. You can play as your old favorite or beat up on your most hated character...

Pros: Great characters, addictive gameplay, pick up and play design. Cons: none, other than not having more playable characters, although the 25 is enough
I remember a couple years ago, with the release of Super Smash Bros. for the N64. That game, along with Perfect Dark and Goldeneye, were among the best games of that time. Well, we knew the time was going to come on the Gamecube when Nintendo would...
Wow, this is one INCREDIBLE game. A big step from the smash original. If I had to own one game it would be this. Now, some people I know think that knew systems are a bad idea, and to stick with original games. This game proves them wrong with intense...
Pros: Great game replay, fantastic graphics, the greatest multiplayer/party game Cons: some levels are too mobile

Pros: Great graphics! Awesome gameplay! Excellent game! Cons: Toad isn't a playable character...yet.
Last Sunday when the price for the Nintendo GameCube fell from $200 to $150, my brother (still in grade school) purchased the system, and since then I have been back at home playing the game almost nonstop.
Pros: The variety of game play. Amazing graphics Cons: It takes more than one to have fun.
Characters from several Nintendo games are fighting each other to death. Why? I have no idea but it is a whole lot of fun. Super Smash Brothers Melee(SSM) is a GameCube recreation of the Nintendo 64 game.It is essentially a fighting game in which...

Pros: The best multi player action and a greater variety of single player options. Cons: Training mode is kind of weak. Strong emphasis on Pokemon that might turn some off.

Pros: Great improvement on the first(I know I didn't think it was possible either). Cons: The word "cons" is not in this games dictionary.
Now I have to say at first I didn't think it was even possible to make a sequel that could be better than the N64 hit. But Nintendo proved me wrong again. Forget the nice family friendly games Nintendo has made in the past, that's been flushed down the...
Pros: 24 characters, great multi-player variety, tons of Nintendo memorabilia! (3D models of old favourites) Cons: Takes up most of your free time, makes other Game Cube games look average
Super Smash Brothers Melee is the best Game Cube game available. I played the original Smash Brothers and loved it and this goes beyond my highest expectations for a sequel. They've not only added new characters, but they've souped up the single player...
Pros: Tons of new secrets and characters. Cons: Very diffrent to it's original

Pros: The game is good for people that are just getting into fighting games. Cons: Nintendo could have added a few more types of moves and combos.
Super Smash Brothers Melee is the best fighting game for Game Cube I've played. The character selection is a great choice of Nintendo video game characters, including new characters, all of the old characters and also many secret characters. They...
Pros: All out fighting action with Nintendo's greastest characters what more could you want. Cons: The same as the first one, the one player mode.
I know this game quite well because I own it and it is an incredible game. You start with 13 playable characters and if you are good enough to unlock the other 12 characters you will have a total of 25 awesome characters! You also start with 18 usable...
Pros: Great fighting game! Cons: Not much difference from first game.

Pros: Pros: This game is very entertaining because it is hard in a challenging way. Cons: Cons: A little bit too much Pokemon and bonus stages are sometimes difficult.

Pros: many characters, great fighting, many stages, different options Cons: can't find any
This game is awesome. For those that don't know much about Super Smash Brothers Melee, it is the 2nd issue of Super Smash Brothers for N64. This version is much better, though.
This game has characters in total, including Mario, Luigi, Peach,...
Pros: Graphics, hidden characters, controls, multiplayer modes Cons: very addictive
This game is most likely the best multiplayer game ever. It has excellent graphics, and many characters that can be unlocked. Also many levels too. The characters are from some of the best games around. Many levels can be unlocked, great for hours of...
The best fighting game for any console, hands down by voxxen ,May 16 '05
Pros: -Easy learning curve
-Always entertaining battles
-Tons of play options
-Great for parties! Cons: -Plenty of characters, but there could be so many more!
Super Smash Bros. Melee is by far the finest offering of the genre. Easy to pick up and play, yet surprisingly deep, the plethora of different play options and customizable settings keep this game from getting stale for an incredibly long time. Also, playing with 3 other people at the same time is a blast!
The only thing that might disappoint is the lack of characters. Not to say that there aren't enough! The 20+ Nintendo brand heroes and villains available are diverse enough for almost anyone, but there are just so many more that could be added. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, and Peach? Why not Daisy, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, Koopatroopa, or Shyguy?
One of the best fighting games ever!! by junior_ain ,Jan 19 '07
Pros: Great graphics
Insane fights, cannot even blink
Infinite Lasting appeal Cons: Some challenges are way too difficult, or requires a large amount of time spend on
Wow I didn't see that coming! When I bought my GameCube I was ready to purchase Luigi's Mansion aswell, but sadly it wasn't available, I, then, had no choice since the only game there was melee, I though Super Smash bros for Nintendo 64 was al right, but nothing special, so I wasn't expecting that much of this game, maybe it would be a good first game, who knows, I picked it and went home.
When I got home I was stunned! The game was magnificent, bombastic, with superb sound effects and a lot of things to do, dozens of playing modes and if you want multiplayer this is the ultimate multiplayer fun! Never regretted of getting this masterpiece!
Super Smash Bros Melee IS SUPER! by gaming-kid ,Apr 03 '05
Pros: You get rewarded for your good work with trophies! With various types too! Cons: The trophy machine gives you the same trophy over 15 times!
This game is one of the best 11 Nintendo games yet. With characters throughout Nintendo History. Including hidden characters which you find throughout completing fights and events based within the game! Characters include:
Mario (What would a nintendo game be without him?)
Starfox (Had many adventures throughout space)
Ness (A japanese Nintendo character with many games)
Pikachu (A classic Pokemon hero!)
And many many more.
This game is well worth the amount of money you purchase it for. Including many modes of fights. Classic mode where you battle it with up to 3 characters! Or adventure mode, the classic sidescrolling gamemode where you fight while moving through and thorough various scenarios. And once you complete both of these you will get another mode. Which is much more complicated and much more superior than the other 2 modes! Over all I give this game a awesome 10/10!
Pros: Lots of characters, stages, and modes. Replay Value Cons: None
This game ROCKS!!! You can take your fave Nintendo character and beat the snot out of the Nintendo you hate the most. It has lots of characters, stages, modes to choose from.
Pros: Almost 300 trophies to unlock and over 23 Nintendo characters to play as! Cons: None
This game is highly addictive and fun. It contains a near endless amount of play content and tons of unlockables, bonuses and more, to please any gamer! If you own a Nintendo GameCube this is a must buy! Don't miss this smash hit!!!
Play This Game, And Your Life Shall Be Forever Changed [unless you are limbless] by geekbrain ,Jul 10 '06
Pros: Replay value, it takes years to do everything, basic awesomeness! Cons: you probably won't like it if you are a nintendo hater, sequel is taking forever.
the #1 selling gamecube game has a right to carry it's title because it is so fun. nintendo fanboys[like me] will pass out after learning all of the possible battles you can create with all of the games stages and characters.
the gameplay formula goes like this:
-the multiplayer and single player replayability and general funness of halo 2
-the simple but fun fighting kind of like the tekken series
-mario party-like mayhem
... so what are you waiting for GO BUY IT FOO!
[my true score for this game is 102/100]
Pros: All the new characters and the new All-star mode.
Cons: It is to much like the first game.
Mario, Luigi, Picachu, Kirby, and many many more are for the final battle. This game now consists of a new mode called all-star mode. It's is a new challenge mode, but for some reason it is called all-star mode, anyways, it is basically you go through a certain amount of levels trying to complete a task to unlock more levels. It does get pretty challenging when you get to levels 25 and higher. All around it is ok and you also need to complete some tasks so you can unlock people like Ganondorf.
The classic mode is just like it was in the first one, you fight a bunch of people to get to the final boss fight. Tis game is just like the first game, except the fact the graphics are a lot better and the sound is more clear.
Their are also a lot of new levels along with a couple of the levels from the first game, but it isn't much different than the first game.
this is a really good game by fulfinko ,Jan 01 '06
Pros: Lots of new characters, lots of combos to figure out, good to play when bored. Cons: not in depth classic/story mode, can be difficult at times.
This is a pretty good game because of all the different good moves and combos for each character. When I figured out about how it kept track of all your scores from hit accuracy to distance flew.I was disappointed when I figured out the very brief story and classic game.I think you should get it if you are not a hardcore gamer that loves in-depth games and big story lines. The number of characters you can get in it is good, and there are a lot of new characters also.It takes a little while to figure out all the combos of all the different people, but you will eventually. It isn't one of the most bought games for the last few games for nothing.
Pros: Great Characters and almost everything else! Cons: None
Excellent game! This was one of my favorite games by the first time I played. There are many battle areas and many characters to play and battle. It is a great game to practice and then challenge your friends. Imagine, four friends or one of you against three level nines attacking you!
I highly suggest this game! You can play as almost any 'Nintendo' character! You can do so many special attacks as each character.
It has to be one of the greatest Gamecube games. Fun, exciting, not at all inappropriate.
I play it all the time. It has many challenges and rewards, so it never gets boring. The characters have their own moves that relate to their original games.
There's also trophies, hidden characters and levels, and bonus points that make the game never ending. It is by far the best game I've ever played.
Pros: It never freezes, hardly gets choppy, and has more than one mode. Cons: Some of the characters are hard to unlock.
This game is very fun! I had played it at home, and wherever I went I seemed to play it there, at my friends house, at my cousins house, everywhere. It has really good gameplay! Also you are able to move really fast which is a thing that I like to see in games. A Pro is that the game has never frozen for me, and I doubt it hardly ever will. It also doesn't get too choppy. Also the game has two modes, on where you go through levels and try to get to the end, another where you go and fight characters. A Con is that some of the hidden characters are very hard to unlock. That's about the only Con, overall, I give this game a 5 star rating! :)
Pros: A fast game, with a selection of various computer-game characters, and is multi-player. Cons: The graphics are a bit small, and some characters take too long to unlock.
Super Smash Bros Melee is a great GameCube game for the whole family. I bought it because it was a multi-player game that my youngest son, who is only four, could play with his older brothers, who are in their teens. It proved to be a big hit with all of them. It was enough of a challenge for the older kids, but not so difficult that the little one couldn't keep up, or win. As a fighting game it is great fun, with a story mode to unlock characters or players and the option to play individual levels.
Pros: Includes mario Cons: other level and other characters must be unlocked
The super smash bros melee was an awsome experience. For those of you who like the super smash bro from Nintendo 64. you will definetely love this one! it includes more levels. A classic game witch lets a one player to go through levels. Just like in super mario bros. The reason I bought this was because of the first one. When I was playing this game I was thinking of how better the graphics are and how better the characters are!
Super Smash Bros or Super Smash siblings? by superman926263 ,Jan 08 '05
Pros: Great graphics and fun single player and mulitplayer mode. Cons: Can be the cause of the family upset for the day
Super Smash Bros is an awesome game for friends to pay with eachother. It has a cool one player mode and better multiplayer mode with new characters and new settings for multiplayer. It is a lot of fun to play with a group of friends or just alone, but among the siblings it's not Super Smash Bros anymore it's Super Smash siblings. It can be very competitive among brothers and sisters especially if they are at a young age like elementary school. It can cause a lot of upsets unless the siblings are able to figure out a way to play without a big family melee.
Pros: lots of characters, really for everyone Cons: not that much to unlock
This game is awesome I thought I wouldn't like it then my brother begged me to play with him and I said just once and I ended playing with him about ten times. It is a lot of fun there aren't that many characters and stadiums to unlock and some of them are very easy to unlock. And it is a game that a lot of people enjoy.
Pros: All the Characters, the fighting levels and all the one player levels. Cons: I don't think there are any!
I personally love S.S.B.M. It is me and my friends favorite Multi-player game. We play it all the time. I can kick but with Zelda/Shiek (literally) and Roy but, my best character is Zelda/Shiek. I usually win. My best friend is always Link and my two other friends vary between lots of different characters. I recommend it for anyone who likes to kick but!
Pros: great game great graphics and sounds well I hope everyone enjoys it. Cons: It gets really boring if you are by yourself so bring some friends
Well.....let's see there are many things to be shown in this but most of you know well on how great this game is but what about some of these characters i want to know who think is the best character and why. Also with all the characters everyone have a special move. I basically think Marth has the best special move and that's his counter if you use your counter before your enemy attacks and you will attack with twice the force which is really good but anyways to the main point. who do you think is the best character and why?
My favorite character is Link is there is a really good reason Link is both good at attack and defence but lacks speed. I am so far the best around my town and to syracuse, NY well i've entered 45 tournaments and won all incept 1 and that was due to a minor mistake i made well you heard about me well what about you?
Smash Bros is back, but it is much better than 64 one by linkinparkfan ,Jul 06 '04
Pros: Fun, addicting, different fighting modes and weapons, unlockables Cons: Fun, sometimes a little bit too challenging
I found this game fun and addicting. It has many different fighting modes and weapons, and it has many different characters to unlock. This game was challenging and a must have for a nintendo gamer
Pros: Great Graphics. Cons: It needs more attacks for the characters.
This game has great features, lots of Characters to choose from, and cool fighting stages that are great for....well.....fighting of coarse. There are more characters then the ones in the beggining but you will find who they are when you get farther in the game. This is all I have to say and I hope it help at least a little bit.And if it doesn't PLEASE!keep your rude comments to your self and if you don't it won't bother me so don't waste your time!!
A++++ BEST GAME FOR GAMECUBE by billay55 ,Jun 16 '04
Pros: -great graphics
-awesome new characters
-fun 1 and multi player games Cons: -extremely hard event matches
This game is the best, if you don't own it, you're missing out. This is such a unique fighting game - an exceptional sequel to the first smash brothers game. Excellent graphics and a truckload of wonderful new characters, fun variations of one player and multi player games - no gamecube library is complete without this game!
Smash Bros. lands the fatal blow against Mortal Kombat! by galacto ,Jun 06 '04
Pros: level designs, unexpected secrets, Giga Bowser, new Beam Sword design Cons: Attacks are too simple to do, not as fast-paced as Soul Calibur II
This game is great! It's not a bloody fighting game! No pointless fatalities! They blow up into thin air, not blow up into blood and guts! Finally, a fighting game as clean as a new car!
Yes, no blood is needed for even one game with Mario! Although if you get knocked off screen, people call it a "death". But, it's actually known as a Knock-out. AND, there isn't any "fatalities". Why kill your opponent when they're dizzy when they'll fall down anyway? Trust me, fatalities are nonsense and pointless.
Buy this game! You'll get a kick out of it! It beats Mortal Kombat!
The BEST GameCube Game Of All Time! by jdkeilholz ,May 27 '04
Pros: -TONS OF FUN
-GREAT STORY MODE
-AWESOME PARTY GAME
-NEVER-ENDING!
-GREAT PRICE! Cons: -NONE!
Nintendo combines TONS of it's stars. Mario, Luigi, Princess, Link, Zelda, Samus...IT NEVER ENDS! And there are additional characters you can get by winning various things. This game is so much fun: 1 Player or 4 Players! You just can't go wrong! Every person with a GameCube should have this game!
Pros: Fun for all ages, great replay value, easy learning curve Cons: some characters are too hard to get and not recognized by US gamers
I'm a kid at heart and love my GameCube, but there's not much that holds my attention span in way of games at age 20. I love this game, there are loads of little extras, you can beat it quickly but the replay value is fantastic. There are no blood and guts or any MAJOR violent actions, so it's great for younger kids. If you're a parent worried about violence, this game is perfect IF you'd let your kids watch Pokemon, the fighting can be easily compared to that. All ages can enjoy it and it has MANY little extras to unlock and trophies out the behind to collect! It's great with multiple players, but awesome with one play as well. You can't really go wrong with this game.
Pros: Fun while it lasts, lots of little extras, some cool secrets. Cons: No replay value, characters are over done, and there is no real violence.
Ok, I'll admit it's a pretty all right game. And yeah, it can be fun to try and get all the levels. Or doing all those little things to get extra characters. Maybe more options or those little toys from the vending machine. But after that all that's left is multiplayer. After hours and hours of hat at parties, that gets pretty old. Once that's done, the game has nothing. Replay value on this game is non-existent. So once it's done it's done. In the end, yeah it's worth buying, but not paying full retail. I would recommend getting it on ebay.
My 4 year old can play this and loves it. by aprella ,Nov 05 '03
Pros: Cute and Easy enough for a child. Wonderful Nintendo characters, bright and loads of fun. Cons: None
Super Smash Brothers Melee was an instant hit in my home.
With the available multi-player menu, my entire family can play and have loads of fun. Not only can we fight each other, we can team up or play the mini games and see who can gather the most coins in 3 minutes.
It's not just Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong...there's also Pikachu, Pichu, Link and Zelda, Mewtoo and Kirby. It is your basic fighting game, but is cute as a button and is simple enough for my 4 year old daughter to play. She can't get enough of Pikachu using his lightning bolts to blast other characters off the screen. She also enjoys the little movie they have with all the different characters fighting and the music is wonderful.
Now, I am not one for alot of fighting and was against games like Mortal Combat for young children, but this is different. There's nothing dark about Nintendo. That's why I chose the GameCube and Super Smash Brothers Melee.
Most games offer the most fun in one-player modes, but with SSBM, you'll find equal, if not more, excitement with up to three friends joining the brawl. The GameCube controller setup makes it so easy to dish out the moves, plus you have options; in multi-player mode you can use the C-stick to perform a meteor smash for instance. The fun doesn't stop, even when you've unlocked everything. The only games I get sick of are the ones I love and thus play too much, this was one of them. So, don't be like me, and space your playing time wisely! Even so, if you do get sick of it, the good times still roll with amazing inertia when friends come over. Remember, once you think you've done everything SSBM has to offer, ask yourself this: "Do I have Mr. Game&Watch? Have I seen Crazy Hand? Have I found every bonus? Every trophy?" If you think you've used up all the Smash, think again.
One of the greatest multiplayer games ever! by dart_6 ,Dec 05 '03
Pros: Great graphics, maps, scenerios, characters, and almost anything else you can think of! Cons: Other than the one player mode was dull, there aren't any.
An excelent game regardless of anybody else's opinion. One of the greatest Nintendo creations ever. A perfect mix of graphics, multiplayer entertainment, music, scenerios, and characters. Truly this game will be in the top five list of the greatest multiplayer games in history!
I liked the first version... by neogeo_dt3000 ,Oct 29 '02
I liked the first version for N64. It was really cool and if I saw a friend had it, I would play it right away. But then came the Game Cube and, as many other videogame fans, I felt way to much apprehensive. I got the Game Cube. But I couldn't seem to get SSBM yet... until I went to Miami. I bought it there. I really liked this game and the graphics left dumbfounded. I purchased this game for quiet a while and, eventually, it got boring to "solo-play". It is very fun, having 25 characters to choose from, which include many unexpected secret characters. I liked it a lot. But it is one of those games that eventually becomes only fun to play with someone else... what a pity...

best gamecube game ever! This game has been improved from the 64 version with more than 20 fighters and more opions to fully customize matchs, also it has great music(fire emblem)and sounds. The one player mode has been improved as well, modes like clssic mode and the new adventure mode make it even more fun to play. There is also trophies to collect in the game, overall this is one of the best gamecube games of all time.
This was by far the best game I have ever played. The controls are easy enough to learn, the graphics are intense and realistic, and the new features were an excellant touch. I especially like the new adventure course on the one-player mode. Nintendo did a great job on this game!
best game on gamecube!! awesome graphics! i like the different selections of battle stages and 1 player mode. lots of favorite characters, and the the trophies are pretty cool. great game! totally addictive!!

unlocking the secret levels and charachters is the hardest. but otherwise fun with another person. When one player only is your style, get sonic adventure2 BATTLE
My lil' bro and I play this alllll the time! It"s the best game we have (and we have a lot of games). It has action for him and stratedgy for me. This game is awesome.
Pros: Exciting, Gripping Cons: battle of the hand is unfair
I think that super smash brothers lacks graphis but it still is a very good and exciting game which will keep you hooked for hours. Great for kids and adults.
Fun but why the T (teen) rating? by thuwun11 ,Feb 01 '05
Pros: VERY fun addicting and upredictable with tons of charcters and stages. Cons: Rated teen for Who-Knows-Why
This game is very fun and addicting. I own this game but I must play it in my bedroom where my brother cannot watch because it is rated teen. (and he really does not like that)
