Pros: Smells good and it works! Cons: Nothing, I think it's worth the price.
Being a teenager, I can be vain, but when it comes to something like dandruff that's a different story. I started to get dandruff around the age of 12, right on the onset of puberty. For four years I tried different products. I went from Head & ...

Pros: It works fast, and every time. Cons: Its more expensive.
I have thick, curly long hair, and I've always had mild dandruff off and on. But a few years ago I noticed it had become much worse, and none of the shampoos I tried, like Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue, not only didn't work, but seemed to exacerbate ...

Finally, a Dandruff Shampoo that Works!
by dburk802 ,Nov 17 '03
Pros: It actually works! And you don't need to keep it on for a long time. Cons: It is expensive compared to other drug store brands. Almost twice the price.
I didn't think it could be done, but the world has finally produced a dandruff shampoo that works. I have tried all of the different brands, from "Head and Shoulders" to "Phytosylic Anti-Dandruff", "Neutrogena T-Gel" and "Selsun Blue". None worked, until Nizoral. The fragrance isn't bad, it doesn't smell "mediciney". And, unlike other dandruff shampoo, you don't need to keep it on your scalp for any specific duration. Nizoral provided results the first time I tried it. I have color-treated hair, medium body, medium length.

Good Product
by rippon ,Oct 09 '06
Pros: smell, way it leaves hair feeling (and it works!) Cons: Price
As the weather gets cooler, I develop an "itchy" head along with a slight dandruff problem. I've tried other shampoo's and they've left my colored, fine, wavy (curly some humid days!), medium length hair in shambles! Usually the product leaves it limp, dull and dry feeling. This one leaves my hair feeling like I used any regular shampoo. I'm using in conjunction with my normal conditioner and have experienced success with the 1% solution bought over the counter at the drug store. I am much more happy with this product as compared to the other dandruff shampoo's that I've tried.. Although its a bit pricey I found the smaller bottle at Walgreen's (after looking at prices on line) for $9.99 and they happened to have a $1 coupon the day I went... lucked out I guess! The product is the usual "blue" of dandruff shampoos, but has a very "clean" scent, not medicated smelling at all.

Made my dandruff worse!
by pismo ,Sep 06 '06
Pros: Smelled good, lathered well Cons: Made my dandruff worse!
I was very excited to try Nizoral after reading so many positive reviews. I have an oily scalp so I figured this would work because it's supposed to kill the fungus that thrives on oily scalps and causes dandruff. I liked the smell of this shampoo and it wasn't offensive at all like many other dandruff shampoos. I used Nizoral a few times a week for two or three weeks before I decided to discontinue. It had actually made my dandruff worse and my scalp more itchy than it was before! Needless to say I was very disappointed.
