Nice WiFi Appliance Plus Other Uses

by biholzman , Sep 19 '07
Pros: Inexpensive ($140 shipped), solid quality hardware, multifunctional, good forum support.
Cons: Requires tinkering, somewhat buggy, poor manual.
Description: The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet is a multipurpose lightweight multimedia appliance that is capable of many tasks - though it can be a little slow. It is capable of broadband access over Wi-Fi connection (802.11b/g) or via Bluetooth to ...

A worthy addition to the digital home

by dkseeles , Apr 15 '06
Pros: Beautifully stylish device; perfect for accessing the web around the house
Cons: At the end of it's software support lifespan; overshadowed by iPod Touch
The Nokia 770 (or Maemo) appears to have been misunderstood - and suffered as a result. A number of reviews have given it poor marks for memory limitations, stability, and flexibility... but I love it, and here's why: Firstly, the 770 isn't a mobile ...

Not Perfect but Definitely Worth the Money

by dpeck , Sep 03 '07
Pros: Portability, Scalability, Cool factor, Software
Cons: Speed, No YouTube, Input is pretty unpleasant, No Microphone
Design of the 770 itself. Out of the box, the design of the device is really pleasing. It looks slick. It has a built-in hard case that you slide the main unit in and out of, so it's easy to protect the screen when it's not in use. the unit has a ...

Gotta have what you gotta have

by dongeeL , Aug 21 '06
Pros: Web surfing on the go. Internet radio. RSS News feeder.
Cons: 3 hour battery life. Poor owner's manual.
There aren’t too many places you can buy this little gadget. I ran into a non-working display model at a computer store and got curious enough to do a little research on it before ordering it direct from the Nokia website. In spite of ...

Perfect for travel but not without it's flaws.

by DrDaveC , Jun 08 '07
Pros: Ultra Compact, high-resolution screen, usable Opera Browser and RSS. Leave your laptop at home.
Cons: Software instability issues, bad e-mail client and anemic CPU. Now superseded by the Nokia 880.
Let's face it, there are times when you're traveling light and the thought of bringing a big bulky (or even a not so bulky) laptop with it's associated accessories and inherent fragility is just too much of a hassle. The 770's compact size, instant-on ...

Extremely Useful Little Gem

by hdtravel , May 18 '06
Pros: Stylish, vivid screen, good connectivity, convenient, high quality, works well
Cons: Needs more built in memory, needs faster processor.
The Nokia 770 is an extremely classy and useful device for Web browsing. I use it often around the house in every room. It is also great to carry at work, around town and while traveling. I find myself using it throughout the day to access information. ...

Nokia 770 internet tablet does its job well
by rj5620 ,Sep 24 '06
Pros: Great internet tablet. Excellant resolution and speed. VOIP Plays MP3s. photo slideshow
Cons: Will not play some video formats User sites are too Linux oriented
First, you need to understand the purpose of the 770. It is a wi-fi internet tablet. If you purchase it for that reason, you will love it. For the price, it is a great way to do e-mail and surf the net just like your laptop. I use it to read the news, check e-mail, shop for reviews and check prices on products when I am in my car or in the mall. It is small and fits in your pocket, so you can easily take it with you. With the ever increasing availability of hot spots, the Nokia 770 is becoming more useful. It has VOIP phone capability, but I use my Motorola Q for as my phone/pda.

Great Product
by supersellertim ,Mar 28 '07
Pros: Small, lightweight, good portable internet tablet. Responsive touchscreen.
Cons: Grainy touchscreen, could be hard to read for those who have bad eyesight.
When I received this product, my first thought was my, how tiny. This only raised my speculations on this product because I needed a lightweight and portable internet tablet for my usage. It connected to our wireless network right away and I connected to the internet. It seemed like it loads pages slightly slower than on a normal computer but still fast. I had no pages that would not load at all. All I have to say is buy it!
